The house was very cozy and welcoming. Found it easy to get comfortable quickly, the surrounding area was beautiful to explore. My only minor complaint would be that the stream in the backyard was a bit hard to access because it was overgrown, not like in the pictures. We still had a wonderful time visiting and found plenty of other rivers and streams to play in. Would definitely book again. Also, the first two nights we were there there were some thunderstorms and the power went out but the owner took care of it very quickly for us.

We loved it and will definitely be back. It is cozy, clean and the perfect getaway if you love being in nature abd the catskills.

Cute cottage in the Catskills, centerly located to hiking and small towns

Our family of four had a comfortable stay at the Cabin in Chichester. The house and amenities are as described in the listing and the photographs. We had everything we needed for a lovely stay and we'd love to return to this cabin if our travels bring us back to the Catskills in the future.

The Cabin at Chichester was a relaxing retreat and great location. Close to Phoenicia and great hikes.

My daughters and I had a wonderful visit. The cottage was easy enough to get to and had very peaceful surroundings! Paul was able to help make our stay very comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin at Chichester. It was a nice, cozy retreat close to a creek. The cabin is about a 5 drive away from the town center. There’s a nice picnic area on the cleared path to the creek. Very disappointed that we didn’t have enough time to use the fire pit, firewood was provided. We would love to go back again one of these days. The cabin has 3 bedrooms. The queen bed room has double ally lights that provided natural light to the room. There was also a twin bed room and the double bed room. It has one bathroom which has ample supply of toilet paper and Ivory bar soaps. The living room has a flat screen TV with option to use your own Netflix account. The kitchen has a gas stove/oven which allows the guest to cook their own food. There is also a grill on the deck that’s available for use. It was an enjoyable stay.

The property is easy to find, well maintained, and close to downtown. The property had a wonderful yard with a well maintained path to a fire pit and to a stream. The host was easy to communicate with and left easy and clear instructions about the property and for checking in and out. We would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Prior to the visit, Paul was proactive in communicating the details of check in and expectations of us as guests during our stay. After our arrival, Paul stopped by just to make sure everything was OK and we had a great chat with him about suggestions and recommendations for the area. I wasn't entire sure what to expect about the cottage, as pictures can never give a full feel of the place. But inside is just fantastic. It's clean, comfortable, charming, and contains everything you need for your stay. The attached deck had a great gas grill on which we cooked every single meal (scrambled eggs, toast, and french fries taste even better when grilled) and it had the added bonus of keeping the kitchen nice and clean. There is a large glass patio table, comfy chairs, and an umbrella to make outdoor dining simple. The full and twin bedrooms were cozy and comfortable, and the master bedroom, with french doors opening to the living room, is quite spacious. TV/wifi were used sparingly, but nice to have. (Pro tip: load your GPS directions while connected to the wifi, because cell signal is very spotty in the area.) The path to the firepit/creek was freshly cut, making navigating with flashlights easy. Take it easy crossing the small stream, as the stepping stones can get a little wobbly. Short drives to Phoenicia, Woodstock, diners, restaurants, roadside farm stands, and after a few trips you start to know the area and stop relying on GPS. Can't wait to come back!

We were able to bring all 3 of our dogs along with us. Paul was very accommodating. The cottage was a great location for some ideal waterfall trails and our kiddos and dogs loved the stream in the back yard. Thanks, for a great stay!

My husband and I had a lovely stay at Paul's house. It had everything we needed, was clean and inviting. It was private but not far from amenities and hiking. Paul was very easy to communicate with and provided us with all the basic essentials we needed to enjoy our stay.

We enjoyed a great get-together with our daughter and her husband. Food, fun and family. We made good use of the kitchen as Rain loves to cook. Played yard games in-between the rain drops and took a walk about in Woodstock to buy some festive tiedyed souvenirs. Sang along to music provided by our talented son-in-law Ed. Was very happy that the cottage was cat friendly and my new family member, Casper could be with us.

The house was well stocked and immaculate. The owner greeted us shortly upon our arrival. The area is a rural paradise. Phoenicia is a lovely town and Woodstock is nearby. Great area for combing antique shops. Thank you Paul!

We loved this lovely little cottage. It was so cozy and inviting. The cottage is so pretty, very clean, and fully stocked with everything we needed for an amazing getaway. The location is beautiful. It’s in a woodsy spot that is private and quiet but not too isolated. It’s close to Phonecia and other towns we love in the Catskills. Paul was a wonderful host! He even checked in on us when we arrived. We are looking so forward to our next visit.

We stayed here the first week of August 2022. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The kitchen had all the basic amenities and the grill is a good one. The property is very pretty and well-maintained. There is a nice fire pit down the path that would be perfect for roasting marshmallows with the little ones. There is lots of hiking and biking within half an hour.

A beautiful and spacious property, my two sisters and I enjoyed ourselves very much. The deck was especially enjoyable. The kitchen had everything we needed. Loved the mattress in the main bedroom, and the bathroom is great. Paul was a very friendly and responsive host.
