We traveled around Puglia for a week, and one of the experiences we really wanted to have during our trip was staying at an authentic masseria. This place was exactly what we were looking for.
The masseria is run by the lovely Maria Laura, who welcomes you from the moment you arrive as if you were a guest in her own home. She is incredibly warm and friendly, and full of stories about how the place was created, the farm, the animals, the local produce, and her family’s history.
Maria Laura also invited us to have dinner at the farm, prepared with locally grown produce, and it was absolutely wonderful and delicious.
The property itself is beautiful. Our room was lovely, spacious, and very comfortable, and the whole place has such a peaceful and special atmosphere. The masseria is located about 15 minutes from Matera, making it a perfect location if you are traveling by car.
We truly enjoyed our stay, especially the warm and personal hospitality, and we really hope to come back again.

MarieLaura was amazing! She saved us from destitution by summoning an extracurricular shuttle via a friend, then provided us with beautiful food and lovely accomodation. The whole ethos of the place is brilliant, the animals are charming and the explanations are much appreciated. Totally recommend!

The Masseria La Fiorita is a working farm with only three guest rooms but plenty of space. The room was rustic in style but very comfortable. The breakfast and evening meal cooked by the owner, Marialaura, were made from their products and were typical of the area. The atmosphere is welcoming and the owners very friendly and helpful.
We were very happy with our stay.

Location was good and the hosts were very friendly and passionate about the farm.
This wasn’t good value for money for the price that we paid compared to other agritourismo and B&Bs we have stayed in. The place needed a lot of repairs and wasn’t very clean.
