This is a very special place, with an amazing location. The hotel is a completely renovated ruin, in a small and amazing town. We had a big room on the 3 rd floor. Bed was comfy. Surroundings fabulous.
Sadly, my husband took a terrible tumble on the reception deck. It happened while the host was explaining how to enter with luggage down below, my husband didn’t see or know there was a step. He ended up falling over the railing and on his back on cement steps. It was really scary for my husband and me. The hotel really did not do anything to assist or inquire if he was ok. This shocked me, and I’m not sure if this is an Italian thing, or lack of empathy on the host. He sustained some minor injuries but wow, no follow up call- it could have been really serious and nothing from management. I’ll pass on this location in the future.

Lovely, quiet, wonderful garden full of fruit trees & flowers. The rooms are well fitted out & comfortable. Very quiet. Restaurant is lovely.
What surprised me is that the garden wasn’t used for eating. There is such an amazing quiet garden- I would have loved to sit outside & enjoy dinner or breakfast.

Beautiful, characterful hotel building, set in lovely gardens with a nice little swimming pool. Friendly and helpful staff, very good food, all very reasonably priced. Surrounding countryside is also beautiful.
Restaurant is closed Tuesdays, options within walking distance are pretty limited.

The building and outside spaces are beautiful and so were the rooms. We loved the big bathroom and very comfortable shower. Also the restaurant was great with very good food!
The breakfast was quite limited for the price, and we would have loved an AC in the room for this price as well.
