It’s a good stay, but some things aren’t that comfortable.

The small kitchen in the room with the smaller dorm rooms was nice. Surrounded by nature.

The 14 person dorm room is to big. The cleaning can be better and the big building with big rooms isn’t very comfortable… But the small dorm rooms in the smaller building is better! It’s far from the centre and the busses don’t drive that much…

The worst experience I've ever had in accommodation spanning 5 continents that I've been on.

Rooms full of spiders. My room was booked to other guests as I we did not arrive on the first day which we paid for. Was happy to forfeit the payment but I was met with hostile staff. Ended up not staying there.

They could have called to check why we did not come on the first day instead of booking our room out to others.

Outdated, all bedding needs replacing, got a musty body smell lingering on sheets.

Cozy place, not a party hostel!

We found all we needed in the hotel and Lin was adorable giving us great local tips! My brother and I ended up extending our time there.

Location is good, but better if you've a car.

Rats

It's a bit like an old school camp. The kitchen was well equipped and the great big tables were awesome. It was a handy location to get everywhere pretty quickly.

The rats in the ceiling!!!!! Makes it very hard to sleep listening to them racing around. Yuck! The linen needs an upgrade. I think if it hadn't been for the rats my feelings would be different but I really can't handle them. 😕

Would not stay here again.

Strong damp smell in the rooms, the blankets were thin and bed was super uncomfortable

Still amazing

I loooove this place its amazing!!. The 1st time we ever stayed we slept in room 2 out side down the back now that was perfict for my little family of 5! Lots of space cosey and comfy

We slept in room6 this time it was ok. Maby not good for a family of 5 as the room is abit small and kids just went crazy

Not bad but could be better.

Very run down building. The kitchen has that grandparents house type of smell, very old. I think the couches need to be replaced, it feels dirty and it smells too. The beds are the worst. Spring wired base and mattress were too thin and I could feel the wire and it was missing some of the links so it’s like sleeping in a hammock. Very uncomfortable. But being the worst rated “hostel” no one goes there, so I got the whole 7 shared room to myself. Apart from what’s stated above, it was an okay short stay.

The staff was great. Cost-effective. Served its purpose. Hot water was great. Kitchen was clean. Other guests were friendly and quite.

Bed springs in one of the beds were broken but it's a backpacker so it is what it is.

Lovely staff no issues there

The add on booking dot com said "room, microwave and kitchenette" - none off that - was a tiny room with small desk bed and chair. No kitchenette or microwave and pretty sure no room in the place had a separate kitchenette. Is an old youth hostel- they never had those sort of things description was incorrect - Bit poor in this modern world.

Such a cosy place to stay, nestled in amongst the trees with a creek running down beside the grounds

staff and others staying were very friendly and welcoming

unfortunate placement of room caused a little bit of lost sleep due to noise of others up until early hours of the morning in the "reception/hangout room" over all was a great time

Unfortunately my room was below the kitchen space and it was imposible to sleep... the common area is busy until late and from very early (which is what a common area is for).

Lovely location next to a stream with nice grassy areas. Very peaceful and still close to town.
