Kata Beachwalk Hotel and Bungalows has an excellent location for exploring Kata Beach. The room was clean, the staff was very friendly, and free beach towels were provided, which was a great bonus. Highly recommended!
The only downside was the steep uphill access to the hotel, which can be challenging for someone.

How close it was to the beach. The friendly staff. The free use of beach towels.
There is a real problem with the plumbing. Our toilet was blocked the 3 days we were there. The manager would come with a plunger and say it's OK now. It wasn't OK. My sons room was the same. We were asked not to put paper down. We didn't and still a problem. At one point, it overflowed all over the toilet. Rooms were dated and basic but clean. When you have a shower, the whole place gets soaked as there is no curtain to separate the shower and toilet facilities. Location is excellent. There is a very short steep hill to get into the hotel. Lots of work going too which made it feel like a building site. Nice views from the roof terrace. Overall, we probably got what we paid for.
