Great value, lovely people. The location is only a short walk to the beach restaurants and much quieter than the beach locations. The pool is off the charts lovely, and the breakfasts by the pool are excellent. They neighborhood may spook some because it's not rich, but it's a very short walk to the waterfront and the neighbors are great. I felt safe. Good wifi, AC works, hot water talks a while, so be patient, but it's hot. It is pet friendly, so sometimes there's a yappy dog, and the roosters nearby will wake you. The value here is better than anything in Puerto Lopez. The pool area alone is worth it. We watched the swallows swoop in to grab a drink from the pool and eventually had to rescue one who made a bad pass on the way down. Made us feel like we helped the universe. This is a great find.
Not a lot of electrical outlets in the rooms, so you may have to move a desk if you want to plug in and do some online work. And the lightbulbs are dim (saving energy) if you're there for a while, you can buy a brighter bulb from a nearby store, or bring one with you). We only got one room key, but I stopped by a hardware store and had another made, a buck fifty, so we could each have one. I left the extra with the hotel, so maybe that room at least will now have two.

The place its self is beautiful, lovely pool surrounded beautiful tranquil gardens! Nice place to sit and chill and read a book or just an afternoon swim and nap!
The staff was exceptional helpful and very happy-service with a smile!
They save a good breakfast everyday with fresh fruit, juice and coffee.
The lodge is in a quiet neighborhood only 4 blocks from the beach and several restaurants!

The staff were very welcoming and showed us several different rooms to choose from.
The pool area was fantastic
I was looking for a book to read in English and they had a small library and collection of books to choose from for free.
They also have a secret garden behind the pool area
Lots of interesting places to relax as well as your room.
The breakfast was not what I like, but all the other guests seemed to enjoy it.
Maybe they could have a Choice.

Tuzco is a beautiful property and has a extraordinary kennel and dog yard. The pool is big and there is a walking meditation garden, well-tended with many birds. The staff are kind and helpful. It's a short walk up from the beach with sunset views.
Like many places the pillows need replacing otherwise a perfect 5 night stay.
