Staff couldn’t do enough for you, very unique setting, clean and comfortable room, right outside the national park with lots of wildlife, really good food, range of activities, surprise bbq for our honeymoon on the rocks, and a surprise local dance show!

The Yakadura Yala concept is a great idea when combined with a safari. It felt more like how you’d expect a safari experience to feel, rather than staying in a typical hotel resort complex. The staff were very helpful, the range of activities laid on very comprehensive and the fire dance was a great addition. Seeing sunset up on the rocks was also a nice way to end the day. We booked a full day safari with Yakadura which was really good and we saw a lot of different fauna and flora, including a number of leopards. The jeep has priority access in the morning which was ideal given that there was up to 250 other jeeps queuing at the entrance on the day. Plus Yakadura is close to the entrance making it very convenient for Yala.
The place has a lot going for it and it was a unique experience. However it comes at a cost and I’m not sure it’s great value for money compared to other places we stayed in Sri Lanka.

Great stay. The staff are super lovely. Dinner and breakfast was amazing. Due to the express entry for safari we were 5th in and saw leopards straight away. Room is nice and wasn’t too hot even without air con.
