Great location! Just a few minutes from the food roulettes at night next to the waterfront. Our room, shared bathroom and shower were clean. I had a early morning flight and the staff arranged for a taxi which was reliable and on time.
Our walls were thin so we could hear our neighbor's entire conversation! Bring earplugs!

The location is perfect...within walking distance of the ferry terminal. Our room, the shared bathrooms and showers were very clean. All the main Papeete sights are a nearby walk away. We were able to leave our luggage in storage for free while we waited for check in at 2 pm. Simple free breakfast offered.
Nothing...all good

It’s a perfect budget-friendly overnight from a late flight, probably not a long term stay. Rooms are very simple with single blanket and pillow, no extra comforts. The showers and facilities are clean.
I would not suggest removing the pillow case from the pillow if you want to sleep peacefully. 😂

The staff were very helpful and friendly . Great location for ferry terminal and nearby restaurants and shops.
Only one toilet was functional on the second floor and there was no air-conditioning in the 4 person dormitory

"The Mahana is a classic. Stayed there many times. Great staff, great location, what's not to like?"
