The most memorable trip - we can’t recommend the villa highly enough as our holiday was just amazing.

Garden Villa Ronnaduwa is simply beautiful. the villa itself is elegantly decorated with a stunning large garden for guests to use the swimming pool and also explore the various plants and trees growing. Set away from the tourist trap of Hikaduwa, the villa offers peace within nature which has provided us with the rest we needed. although I’m nature, the villa is a very short drive to the beach and local attractions. All of the staff went above and beyond, especially Gihan who went out of his way to ensure we had the best holiday ever. Gihan’s local knowledge ( about absolutely everything ) made this trip very special. he helped us book local tours and made sure that anything we needed was seen to. this was especially valued as we were traveling with a small baby. All of the rooms in the villa are stunning and we’ve had the best nights sleep in ages. the food cooked for us at the villa was also by far the best food we’ve ever had in Sri Lanka.

Exceptional

Villa Ronnaduwa was the perfect accommodation for us to unwind and spend time with our children and extended family over New Year’s. Our children loved roaming through the tranquil gardens looking for peacocks and Gihan supplied them with sparklers and other fireworks to celebrate New Year’s. We even got to see a cinnamon harvesting demonstration. When we couldn’t find transportation, Gihan drove us to the turtle hatchery and joined us on a boat ride, he is a great tour guide 😊 Raja is an amazing cook and is very accommodating. All in all, we had a great stay and will return.

Peaceful, beautiful and in nature

Gihan was there to welcome us and made everything very easy for our stay. Food, especially Sri Lankan rice and curry which we ordered in advance, was exceptional. Gihan even drove us to different locations when he was free and gave us great advice on what to see. This is a beautiful, calm location, easy to get to the beach in a car or tuk tuk and a very different, more tranquil and more refined experience than the big hotels with lots of tourists at Hikkaduwa (which remains a beautiful beach).

Stay here for a restuful and idyllic experience.

It was a real treat for us to stay at Garden Villa providing us with a very relaxing couple of nights before we flew home. Both the accommodation and food were first class. With only 4 rooms and big communal areas you really feel you have the place to yourself. Gihan and Raja could not have been more accommodating. If you’re happy to to be a little off the main beach area this is the place to stay!

Simply stunning.

The people and the property are beyond anything we have stayed in after 4 months of travelling. Incredible space for lounging,super pool for swimming or cooling down in. Great service all around with public spaces light and spacious and excuse us for being anti-social but, we felt like we had the place to ourselves most of the time. With just 4 rooms, you really do feel very special. We booked for 3 nights and because of a cancelation we stayed 8 nights. Its majestic.

Very pleasant stay!

It’s very intimate and calm. We were able to relax and eat good food (loved the cashew curry), and of course enjoy the pool at any time. The staff was very flexible and attentive. We felt very welcome, so thank you!

Everything was great. I’d just suggest to fix the fan in the room because when you increase the speed it makes an annoying noise so we couldn’t use it. All the rest was great, thank you!
