Location!
The location is incredible! The building is right next to the US Embassy in Liberty Square, on the Pest side of the city. It is just a 5-minute walk from the metro station, 3 minutes from a supermarket, and 10 minutes from the Parliament.
Host!
We met the most hospitable apartment owner we have ever encountered! He not only showed us around and explained how to get in and out, but he also took the time to give us a detailed guide to the area: showing us where we were, recommending key attractions worth visiting, and giving us helpful safety tips on what to avoid.
The welcome gifts—water, chocolate, and a bottle of Tokaji wine—were a wonderful touch.
Throughout our entire trip, the owner stayed in touch via WhatsApp, sending us lots of useful information and photos about Budapest's sights and attractions. He was always available and ready to help us with anything we needed.
Apartment!
Despite being on the lower ground level (-1), the apartment is fully equipped with a bathroom, a compact kitchenette, and a small, cozy terrace. It is warm, quiet, comfortable, and perfect for a short-term stay.
Everything was ok, except for a couple of minor details:
The underfloor heating didn't work, so we had to use a portable space heater instead, which looked a bit old and worn out.
Since the apartment is on the lower ground level (-1), the water drainage relies on a pump that generates a loud noise when running. It was slightly annoying at first, but we got used to it over time.
Additionally, the terrace door was missing an exterior handle, making it impossible to pull completely shut from the outside without improvising (we ended up tying a plastic bag to the inner handle to pull it closed, which was quite inconvenient).

Host was very thoughtful and had very good recommendations about restaurants and places that must be visited. Apartment was clean and had everything that was needed (towels, soap, kitchen utensils etc.)
We were very satisfied with everything.

First things first—Robert is absolutely amazing! He is such a kind soul and incredibly professional. He genuinely cares about his guests and will go above and beyond to take care of any problem immediately.
Robert is also very proud of his beautiful city, and you can truly feel how much he wants his guests to enjoy it to the fullest. His recommendations and hospitality made my stay even more special.
And the location—LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! It is simply perfect. You are within walking distance of everything, which makes exploring the city so easy and enjoyable.
And don’t be fooled by the fact that the rooms are in the basement—they are really nice, comfortable, and welcoming. I had a wonderful stay and felt very comfortable here.
I am already planning to come back for Christmas, and I’m genuinely looking forward to staying here again. ❤️

You basically just talk to the owner if you need a cleaner/towels and for every problem he is online for you
We had a situation of Toilet blockage because we used too many baby wipes
The owner was there in 10min to become an plumber too
He gave us champagne and water too as a welcome for our stay
