The decor of this restored 'Victorian' Villa was excellent with the organ carrelage (victorian style tiles) still in place in the entrance hall. A cooked breakfast was excellent, simple with food sourced straight from the garden was good. Both hosts were very accommodating given that due to waiting for three hours due to a traffic accident in the UK I did not arrive until after 11 pm. The garden, pond, verrier with grapes and gourds and all manner of fruit, the eggs from the chickens, the plums from the fruit trees and the honey from their bees was exceptional.
A long climb to the attic room although my host carried my overnight bag. However it gave an outstanding view of the garden in the morning. Parking opposite the house on the street gave a minor concern but it was under a street light so relatively secure.

Location suited me perfectly for getting to the channel tunnel early in the morning. Easy access from the motorway.Very quiet. Breakfast good especially the French toast. An absolute delight was the garden which must have covered a couple of hectares and it was a real privilege to be shown round by Franck who is clealy very proud of what he has done there. Not a granf formal garden but one that concentrates on produce, along with chickens and ducks. A very peaceful haven.
The bed mattress could have been firmer for my liking, but perfectly comfortable
