Loved the location being just across the road from the beautiful Ohope Beach.
Liked the reasonable room rates.
Clean rooms, plenty of storage. Housekeeping for long stays meant less disturbance. Our unit had everything you needed for short or longer stays. Decor was nice, linen crisp and rooms clean and tidy. It was quiet and staff were so friendly. The backdrop of bush and lush gardens meant plenty of wildlife around which was magic. Tui, Kereru/Kukupa, Ruru and Piwakwaka.
Just needed a better bed and to resolve a minor problem with ants getting inside.

Stone throw away from the beach. Low noise level. Was nice to get milk in a jug on a tray in the fridge rather than those stupid capsules. On the tray were chocolate kitkats a nice touch. Hosts were very welcoming. Loved our overnight stay.

I Cannot recommend Ocean View Motel enough! From the moment we arrived until the second we left, the hospitality was absolutely top-tier.
Our family was checking out of our previous accommodation early in the morning, which left us with nowhere to go and stuck out in the cold. Ocean View Motel went above and beyond by accommodating an early check-in before their standard 1:00 PM time, which saved our day and meant the world to us! The penthouse appartment met all our needs - spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The views of the beach and sea just across the road are absolutely breathtaking! As we drove off after check-out, the owners Glynis and Pat actually stood outside to wave goodbye to us. What an incredible, personal touch, it made us feel so valued and is something our family will never forget! We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this beautiful place to anyone visiting the area.
