I just spent 11 nights at Dipa Home Stay and will definitely be back next time I visit Ubud. Such a warm welcoming family, quiet from busy streets nearby, and a great location close to lots of places to eat (especially good for classes at Yoga Barn as only 8mins walk there). I am a solo female and felt very safe staying at Dipa. Yes it’s basic but honestly comfortable enough with hot water, small swimming pool and AC. Rooms cleaned every day and towel changed. I’ve stayed at similar places that were more than twice the price and not as comfortable or friendly.
As I’m a light sleeper I noticed there were sounds of cockerels and construction, like most places in Bali, but I always travel with earplugs so not really a problem.

The terrace and the garden.
We had only one towel per person, and when we asked for two more, they told us that they were not prepared to give us more. We bought ...
They did not have body gel or shampoo, and we had to buy soap that ran out, and nobody saw...
One day before leaving, they did not clean at all.
They did not provide us with the invoice - they only copy-pasted the document from Booking without a stamp or signature from them.

The room itself was lovely - nice natural light and very clean and spacious. It was also remarkably quiet - the Homestay is located on a busy street, but you hear nothing once you step inside! We enjoyed having breakfast on the patio each morning and appreciated the filtered water before heading out to explore. There are a number of good restaurants that are just steps from Dipa, and two in our household got haircuts directly across the street that they were really happy with. While a bit of a walk, you can walk to the Coco supermarket, as well as Monkey Forest, the Art Market and the rice fields from this location. Our hosts were lovely to visit with and incredibly friendly.

The staff responsible for Dipa home stay do not create a cozy atmosphere, the food is much lower quality than shown in the photos, not clean cups and everything in the kitchen. Changing bed linen and towels is not a given. When you stay for a longer period of time, you want to feel like you are at home. This is not the case here. The walls in the rooms are so thin that you can hear every sniffle. When I was away for a few days, they started repainting my room with all my belongings without consulting me in advance, they just stated the fact. There are so many chemicals in the pool that within 10 minutes. the skin swells and macerates….The price is too high compared to the quality.
