Smelly bathroom, Security helped

Thanks to security for bringing us kettle and arranging tuktuk. Just for 1 night stay it was OK

Bathroom was smelly and dirty. Fan wasn't good enough, the room was too hot. Bed wasn't comfortable

it was convenient for a few hours stay

location was convenient. security seemed alright.

the washroom was not clean. the door especially for the balcony door was faulty. some seats could be put in the balcony for one to chill there, the balcony was just empty.

Had to kill 5 cockroaches before I could sleep. central, but not a good neighbourhood for solo travelers.

the bathroom had no door and there was no reception desk. We had to call the number on the booking confirmation for someone to come and attend to us.

Very dirty rooms, ended up going to another hotel.

Early check during the night was possible

The room was so dirty that we ended up going to another hotel. First of all the bed sheets had many different big stains. When we asked for new bed sheets we were instead offered a different room. However, in the second room the lock of the door was broken. Since we did not feel safe, we ended up going to another hotel (Suhufi hotel, which was a very nice hotel for a budget friendly option)

You can find a better place to stay

It has worm shower and wifi is working, staff is nice.

No daylight in the room, no mosquito net (even not on the window), you cant see anything through the window but you can hear everything. It is just not worth the money you have to pay.

It was short but good

I did not stay for long and left very early. What I really loved is that I forgot my glasses and they organised and sent them to Nairobi. Thanks 😊

Perfect for our needs! No frills but clean and comfortable for sleeping but not a place to hang out.

Clean -and fan & WiFi were good. Staff were responsive to an issue we had with our door lock and allowed us to switch rooms. Place is accurately described and met our expectations. Location is great for busses and walking to the old town, great food in the area, and some bars not far away. Nice welcome email!

It is very basic and a little dingy- but it’s as described on Booking. There is no front desk but the nice welcome email provided contact info for staff and they were responsive.

Not worth the money for the experience we had

It was convenient for our onward travel and staff were friendly.

On first appearances the hotel appeared quite clean. However when we were in bed my partner started to have large sore bites come up on his back and arms. This is how he reacts to bed bugs. We are seasoned travellers and have stayed in our fair share of run of the mill places so we know the signs of bed bugs. Upon checking the pillows they were filthy, so we took them off the bed and sprayed around the edges of the mattress with the insect repellent that was in the room. As soon as we started spraying it cockroaches started to run out from under the mattress and scattered under the bed and side tables. I then picked up the mattress and several more cockroaches ran out. Far too many to be a one off. I immediately contacted the hotel via booking.com and at about midnight the security guard knocked on our door and asked if we wanted to move rooms. We did because at this point my partner and I were sleeping on the floor on a towel as we’d been bitten so many times. We moved too another room and although this one appeared to be cockroach free it was not bed bug free. The pillows were just as dirty with black spots over them (an indication of bed bugs) and we continued to get bitten in the new room. By 4.30am we had had enough so we got up and left and waited at the bus station for our onward travel. I did report this to the hotel who said they have never had the problem before. However I find that hard to believe as there are obvious signs of infestation. I did reply and inform the hotel that this is not the case but I’m yet to hear anything. Very overpriced room for the experience we’ve had. We have stayed in hostels / hotels all over Kenya for a much better rate that have been far cleaner.

A great stay, wouldn't mind visiting again.

Great location, easily accessible. The security guard at the reception area was so helpful.

Should provide drinking water in the rooms.

it was spacious and had mirrors. it was a comfy bed with pillows. you can come at any time of day which is useful

the shower was either very weak or aggressive. it seemed a little unorganised. it was more basic than i had expected for one nights stay
