Location: Luquillo, Puerto Rico, is a quaint and tranquil little seaside village, uniquely located 40 min. from San Juan International Airport, 10 minutes from El Yunque Rainforest entrance and 10 minutes from Fajardo.
Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or spending quality fun times with your family, our condo is the perfect place.
Of the 3 buildings in the Playa Azul complex, building #1 is the only one located right on the beachfront. This beautiful apartment, is located on the 12th floor of Playa Azul, building #1, with an amazing panoramic view of the ocean, Throughout the apartment, floor-to-ceiling windows provide a cool ocean breeze and breathtaking views. Ceiling fans keep the apartment cool.
The apartment is well furnished. Two air-conditioned bedrooms overlook the ocean, each with full private bath and walk-in closet. (One has a queen size bed and French doors opening onto the balcony; the other has 2 queen beds and a spectacular view of the ocean). A well equipped kitchen includes a 4 burner stove, a dishwasher, a washer/dryer, coffee pot, a countertop oven and a microwave oven. The living room has a 60-inch flat screen Smart HD-TV with cable and wireless Internet connections.
Amenities on the premises include: Private parking lot, a swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts. There is full security at the front gate and lobby. Amigo Supermarket, Walgreens Pharmacy and a Banco Popular ATM are available within walking distance.
Located in front of the Building #1, the Playa Azul Beach is not usually crowded and the sand is clean. Beach chairs and a small cooler are available in the wood box on the balcony for your use. If you prefer a beach with calmer waters, including amenities and lifeguards, the famous Balneario Monserate Luquillo Beach is only a few minutes drive from Playa Azul. A bit further, are the famous 'Kioskos of Luquillo' where you can delight in good local cuisine. Otherwise, you can drive to more upscale restaurants in the area.

You can hike to beautiful waterfalls or zip-line in the rain forest, book a snorkel trip, kayak on the bioluminescent bay, scuba dive in Fajardo, rent jet skis at Luquillo Beach, go horseback riding or ride go carts at Hacienda Caraballi, go to the casino at a nearby resort hotel or take day-trips to Old San Juan, Ponce or the Camuy Caves.

AMAZING! Can't wait to go back. Easy check in/check out, excellent and prompt responses from property manager (even when I was at airport and thought I'd left something behind, Winnie responded immediately), condo equipped with everything you need (beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach wagon, all things kitchen, plus some useful things previous guests had left behind, like shampoo/conditioner). The ONLY "not great" thing (but by no means a deal breaker) is the outdoor key to get in/out of the gate to the beach. There is only one copy due to building regulations, additional copies can't be made, so....you have to coordinate with the others in your party so nobody's locked out. There are additional keys to the condo itself, so...you could open the gate for them FROM the beach and they can use the extra set to let themselves into the room. If it's past 8:00pm the building security double locks the outdoor gates, so..if you are later than 8:00pm, you need to walk around to the front of the building. Not a big deal, but good to know. We met a few full-time residents there who are super friendly. The security people are also very nice and helpful. You can walk in 10 minutes to Amigo or drive there in 3 minutes to find anything you need. We recommend going to eat at La Fonda in downtown Luquillo or somewhere in the Kioskos. Also getting to El Yunque in our rented car was easy and awesome. We also did a kayak tour in Farjardo! Overall, amazing place with best possible view

This 12th floor unit had an amazing ocean view and had everything we needed for our week long stay. It was very clean and comfortable. The bedroom AC units worked well for sleeping. The location was excellent. We were able to walk to a lot of nearby restaurants and the grocery store. We walked down to the public beach one day, but much preferred the beach front by the building. Met several locals, all of whom were very friendly. There is a woman in the building that sells rum cakes - she was a gem of a person. Would certainly stay here again. Thank you!

I experienced several issues during my stay, and while the property manager did respond, it took two full days of back-and-forth to get everything resolved. The refrigerator was malfunctioning from the moment we arrived the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and the constant alarm ringing wasn't addressed until Friday. This alarm impacted our sleep quality. On top of that, the only television in the unit didn’t work and had to be replaced, which meant we couldn’t enjoy any football games, movies, or family time around the TV during those days.To make matters worse, we had to leave the apartment unlocked while the repairs were being handled, so we didn’t feel comfortable going far with all our belongings inside. Overall, the disruptions and delays significantly affected our stay.
