The location suited me. It is separate from the hotel, but one can use the hotel facilities. The restaurant serves lovely meals.

Fantastic place to recharge after a hefty day biking the Nevis the day before.
Tom was fab and eating at the railway hotel was convenient and great fun.

A good spot to stop at after the boat trip around Milford Sound.
We were not put into the Wheels and Reels accommodation rooms, instead we were placed in the Railway Hotel across the road.
It was warm and had a bathroom but it was not as nice/good as the room I had booked online.
When I emailed the office via booking.com that night for a refund of the difference in $ between the rooms, they did refund me the cash within 10 minutes at our room.
