A lovely location and an unusual lodging.

It was quirky and unusual in decor. We liked having fresh coffee.

The sofa was a little uncomfortable but the bed made up for it!

This place was perfect for our stay! It had everything you need and it is so comfortable

It was very cozy, warm and welcoming! And there was anything you need whether is a long or short stay

Nothing! All great!

Nice apartment. Very interesting breakfast at the Hostel down the road

Very nice apartment.

Such a cool apartment in the far corner of the Snaefellsnes Peninsula!

This place is adorable! It's half of a house, and the walls are covered with pages from books, cookbooks, and illustrations from books. There's a library to Take one/Leave one, but most are in Icelandic. The espresso machine was awesome, and I treated myself to several. There was a welcome basket with a mini wine and beer for us to enjoy. The beds were so comfortable. I took a walk in the neighborhood, which was so quaint, and of course got rained on. Snaefellsnes is a great excursion for those who have a little extra time to enjoy it. And The Freezer is actually a hostel with really nice rooms that we got to tour because that's where breakfast is laid out. Casual, ample, browse the books, talk to strangers, wash your own dishes, ... it felt very natural, wholesome, community-oriented, and one of my kids wants to get a job there in a future summer because she loved it so much!

Because our wifi was spotty in this remote corner of the island, I remembered it being part of The Freezer. So we stopped there first, and they gave us the door code and directions to the house, but the text message was there with the code anyway had I been the one hooked up to wifi/data for the trip. Also, being in such a remote part of the peninsula, there was only one restaurant. Not the fault of the Bookstore Apartment at all, but a note to the next guests to plan for this! Grocery stores close early, gas stations are few and far between, and the hotel restaurant was our only (and very expensive) option.

It was nicely located to the National park

It’s in need of some tlc. It was clean enough but needs an update., paint, etc…The couch was not super comfy to relax on, shower super tight( but great hot water) there was a great coffee maker but with no instructions as to use. The duvet covers were quite rough
