We arrived at 1:00 PM on Valentine's Day to find the hotel completely deserted—not a single staff member in sight. We waited at the reception for half an hour, ringing the bell and knocking on doors, but nobody showed up.
Finally, an Asian employee arrived who spoke absolutely no English or German (literally not a single word). He simply handed us the room key and a wine opener.
At dinner, we were quite literally the only guests in the entire hotel. The menu offered only three options; we tried to pick one, but he told us it wasn't available. The other two options were pork, which we don't eat. Using a translator, he suggested salmon, and we agreed since there were no other options—the area is completely isolated with no other restaurants nearby.
What he served was definitely not salmon, and it was completely inedible.
The only "positive" was that when I complained, he said "no money," so we weren't charged for the meal. However, the damage was done. Our Valentine's night was completely ruined, and we went to bed hungry.
I honestly have no idea why this place has good ratings. This was, without a doubt, the worst stay of my life.
