We enjoyed the natural beauty of the Cederberg and it's environment.

The geographical location of The Pakhuys, as a resort per se, is excellent, i.e. most tourist attraction are easily accessible.

The cottage did not meet our expectations. The webb site states that the following are provided all though non-existent: a Hot tub; Free toiletries; a Safety deposit box; a TV (not that it mattered to us); a Private pool (this pool immediately adjacent to De Waboom cottage is open to all guests and on both Saturday and Sunday afternoon the resort's guests visited the pool, enjoying themselves while impeding on our privacy); a Fan (which we really missed as the noise produced by the AirCon made its use impossible). In addition, some of the crockery is worse for wear. On arrival the gas stove did not function nor any ice or ice holders in the refrigerator (in all fairness, both were attended to once reported). It appears as if there is no quality control by management re the state of readiness prior to the handing over of keys. In closure, the rustic ambiance of the cottage is appreciated, but some TLC would really add value.

Wunderbares Glamping!

Tolle Umgebung zum Wandern und Klettern, schöne Farm, sehr freundliche Menschen. Vielen Dank noch mal, dass wir auf eines der Zelte umbuchen konnten und auch danke für die gute Wanderempfehlung. Wir hatten zwar nur eine kurze aber sehr schöne Zeit bei Ihnen! Das hot tub unterm dem südlichen Sternenhimmel wird lange in Erinnerung bleiben!

Unser erstes Quartier Chalet Walboomhus war für uns enttäuschend. Gut, dass wir up-graden konnten!

Ideal location for communion with nature in disturbed by city life.

The location was amazing and staff were helpful in many respects. Truly enjoyable visit.

The lights in the kitchen did not work for the duration of our stay.

Beautiful hikes

Beautiful mountain setting with hikes accessible on the farm. Blokhuys has 3 bedrooms Comfortable beds Gas stove Hot tub

No. Communication for check in and very poor signage on where to go. Bokmakerie cottage had no hot water and it couldn't be fixed on time. Blokhuys needs a kettle for the gas stove especially as load shedding increased.. No storage or shelf space for clothes in the bedrooms. Only 2 toilet rolls supplied for 4 people staying 5 days. Request for more toilet paper and clean towels was not delivered.

No Go!

The Cederbeg Mountains

The accommodation was extremely poor, there were not enough heaters for each room. The shower wouldn't drain, the walls were dirty, and facilities were broken. This place is poorly advertised, this mainly for camping with our own tents and caravans.

It was an ideal location to go and look at the flowers in the Biedouw Valley.

The setting is lovely, private and quiet. The kingsize bed was very comfortable and the sheets super soft.

The shower is very mouldy, the water doesn’t run out and you end up standing in a puddle of water. Also mould on the ceiling. The braai equipment also needs to be replaced or scrubbed at least.

Great location

Good location, private and beautiful views. Beds and linen were comfortable Awesome landscape area close to the lodge with Bushmans kloof & Pakhuys pass nearby

The Shower needs a good scrub. One side of the shower was missing a door and the 1 door was hanging on 1 roller. Braaigrids were thilfy, we tried to clean them before we could use it. A reminder... You need to remove your own trash & clean your dishes before you leave.

Beautiful location with a very rustic feel to the accommodation. Perfect for the cold winter days as it has a fire place in the middle of the main room.

The hot water was not working, and was only resolved at 8pm on Saturday night. This was a bit frustrating as we had to wait to shower. Luckily the owner Thuis (the owner) was very helpful and stepped in when he realized it was not getting resolved. Which we appreciate.

The view and area was perfect.

No lights working when loadshedding happens, Braai has holes in. Kitchen windows don't close properly. No shower door.

Well situated. Rooms were comfortable and clean. We had a lovely time and enjoyed every moment.

Some upgrading necessary. Taps and shower needs to be seen to and the stove also needs some attention.

Since the units are serviced I think the following can be added for people staying longer. more cloths to clean and a cleaning agent. Soap to wash the dishcloths with.

We liked the cottage, it was beautiful to wake up with amazing views. It's so peaceful.

Good

Wood fire hot tub was a blast! The view of the sunrise from the outside deck or hot tub is awesome. Loved the outside braai area.

We stayed at Bokmakerie, which seemed to have needed some tender loving care. The toilet had to be flushed with a string (a little unhygienic in my opinion). Our gas geyser for the water did not get warm for us to comfortably have a shower or wash dishes. We ended up boiling water to be able wash the dishes. The shower head and doors need maintenance. The amount of kitchen equipment is wonderful. However there were no steak knives which was a huge downfall as cutting steak with a bread knife is not fun. Lots of potential but needs maintenance.

Large rooms and comfy beds. Lovely views

The air conditioner spread thousands of dead flies, moths and other dead insects over the double bed when it was first switched on. Property was most likely not used for a long period. Lots of spider webs specially on the ceiling. Bathroom sink was blocked. No warning about loadshedding. Was told to get all information from website but without internet this is useless. Would have been great to have some more information in the form of paper printouts.

I liked booking review

I m working for tour operator company and ask if bus can be parked near by. It was offered alternative accommodation belong to the same group. To make instant and easy payment everything was done via booking.com, as accommodation needed that night due flight change with customers. When driver with big vehicle arrived stuff forgot about previous arrangement. After two week of waiting for the refund, unfortunately didn't get any answer.

Next time we'd prefer the chalets (if WLAN / mobile is better).

Very nice hikes directly from the accomodation. Friendly staff.

The bungalow was quite dark. Very bad or no WLAN (apple laptop) and no mobile directly at the bungalow or in the rooms!
