Idyllic villa on stunning island

Asmara is an absolutely stunning villa only 5-10 mins walk from the beach. It is very private and has a good sized pool. The staff and owners were extremely helpful and arranged horse riding, breakfast delivery, laundry service and snorkelling trips, nothing was ever too much trouble. We had to stay an extra day because the fast boats were cancelled and Donna, the owner, went the extra mile in sorting out an alternative transfer back to the mainland the following day.

Nothing, it was absolute paradise on an idyllic island.

Exceptional

Everything about this stay was wonderful. The location was great, facilities were great, support from the hosts and staff was great. Everything was what I was expecting, if not better. This is the place to stay if you're coming to Gili Air. I received prompt answers to my questions and never felt like I was left unsupported or like I didn't have the answer to any of my questions.

Exceptional

The villa is very well designed , with good attention to detail! Nice pool to relax, during the day and nice big table , sofa to chill with family or friends! Location is close to the beach, 5 mins walking.

it’s tiny but don’t enjoy bright white light at the lounge area - they would change it.

Good

Well-kept with lots of room for a bigger group or a family. Our hosts were welcoming and kept the place in good order while we were out. It's a 10-15 minute walk from the main part of the island, but close (5 minutes' walk) to the northern beach, where there are bars and restaurants.

There were some issues with mould on the glasses and canisters in the bathroom. We didn't use them. The water filter in the kitchen was also stained with dirt. The hosts live and work right next-door, which wasn't an issue for us, but if you want total privacy this may not be the place.

Fantastic holiday villa

The villa is well located on the north side of the island and so easy walking distance to both sunrise and sunset beaches, for good snorkelling. Great to have a private pool to escape to after hot days on the beach too. Anton and Wawan are really friendly and accommodating, and more than happy to arrange anything from excursions to transport. Breakfasts were delicious!

Excellent breakfast. Open space for living near pool. Courtesy of the owner that kept our luggage after check out. Close to west beach which is the better.

Difficult to reach. Low lights in rooms.
