A decent apartment but needs some work

The kitchen facilities were really good. We cooked most nights we were there and it was a decent space with good quality appliances. The garden was beautiful too. There was a car park a minute walk down the hill next to a petrol station that we parked in while we were here (you only had to pay from 10am to 5pm and we were out most of the day anyway. Plus, it was cheap if you did have to pay) which was really handy.

While the obvious things looked clean - taps, sinks, mirrors, etc, the cleanliness of the rest of the place wasn't up to scratch. The corners of all the walls/ceilings/floors needed a really good dust/clean. The rug underneath the table was pretty stained so overall the place felt a bit grotty. We also weren't left a fresh sponge in the kitchen (it had obviously been used by the previous guests, and the scrubbing brush they left for us had human hair in it, which particularly disgusted us. Fresh kitchen cleaning items should be given to every new guest. I think a touch of paint, removing the rug (I don't think there needs to be one there anyway) and a decent clean in the less obvious places would do this place wonders. Also, the pillows weren't very comfy (this seems to be a common thing in Europe though as everywhere else has been the same) and the duvet covers were scratchy.

Beautiful home in the best location, but just too noisy.

The house is absolutely stunning and has everything you could ever need. The view from one of the balconies was perfect and the beds were comfortable. Location was excellent as well.

Through no fault of the owner, the house is mere feet away from an EXTREMELY busy & very loud road. The noise was unfortunately unbearable with windows open, and during the hot summer months there is no choice. For this reason we will not be returning :( shame since the place is perfect (love the balance of modern & traditional German).

we had a great stay

The location was great for walking around town and close to restaurants and shops. The property itself was clean, spacious and had great facilities. it was perfect for our family. The view from the balconies was an added bonus. Highly recommend.

A great place in beautiful Berchtesgaden!

The apartment (sub street-level) was extremely spacious, clean, centrally-located with a well-equipped kitchen. Max, our host, answered all of our questions and dealt with all of our concerns in a timely fashion. Although we did not meet face-to-face he was very friendly in all communications. The apartment is close to public transportation , supermarkets and a wide range of restaurants, all in walking distance. All in all we had a great stay! Thank you Max!!!

Since the apartment is basically on the “basement” level, WiFi reception was extremely poor. I am not a techie so not sure anything can be done to improve this. Perhaps a “repeater” or a WiFi “extender “ unit??? The air filter (to combat moisture and mildew could be a bit stronger. Since we were outside most days this did not bother us too much. Finally, a few more lamps or brighter bulbs might also be a good investment. These are just very small things. No big problems!!! We really liked the place!!! 😃

Superb

We arrived late and the host made it easy for us to access the apartment. Host was very attentive to our needs. The space in the apartment was wonderful!

Art in the home could be a little more appropriate for young families.

A convenient location, nice place to stay - Thank you.

The location was ideal for our short break. Close to the town, restaurants and transport. Ideal for walks and getting to other places.

The lighting in the property could have been better. The bedroom, main light had two bulbs out of five working/fitted. The living room was also very dark, so a brighter room would have made our score 10/10.

Normal

Rooms are big and kitchen is good.

Noisy. Close to the main road. You can hear the cars engine noise clearly when you sleep at night. Not recommended to people who needs a quiet sleeping environment. A bit far away from Berchtesgaden train main station. Takes around 15 mins by foot from the train station to the flat if you have luggages with you since half of it is uphill road. We have 5 people living in 3 rooms but there is only one toilet for all of us. It is not that convenient in the morning.
