The rooms are very spacious. We were there on a day when the pub next door was closed - therefore had to drive 20km to get to the next town where restaurants were open. Everything was closed nearby and you cannot really walk much. We went to newgrange the next day and by car this was quite close. If you want to go to Newgrange this is a great location (and you have a car).

There was a camera in the kitchen, supposedly surveying? Not sure if it was switched on, but seemed a little strange...

Disappointing

Good parking

Hot water didn’t work on the second day, couldn’t tell the staff as it seemed it was live karaoke night in the bar. The inn is next to a lively bar, walls are very thin. Friday night was fine, couldn’t really hear anything but if you are staying on a Saturday night, check if they have a live music night. Very loud (good) music till around 1am. I think would be an amazing night in the pub, not so great when trying to sleep next door.

Fine house pity about the housekeeping!

The guy at the bar was really friendly!

The room needed a good cleaning,cobwebs everywhere and I counted 4 spiders!The bed was so uncomfortable,the quilt and pillow cases weren’t pressed,really badly creased and my bedside lamp didn’t work!

Lovely staff next door, girls service was friendly and great. Only issue was poor mattress and pillows - change those for great stay

Rooms were spacious. Food was excellent. The gentleman looking after us was so welcoming & obliging.

Breakfast very late 10 am/ 11am,as leaving for a wedding at 12am left this morning without breakfast as it wasn't till 11am

Has seen better days and needs a refresh.

Not much.

Dirty linen, half of the bulbs were blown in the room, the bed needed to be replaced. The wifi didnt work. No breakfast and if we had chosen to get breakfast it would have been at 12.

Perfect for a rural getaway

Gorgeous property in a rural setting. Best visited by car, difficult to get a taxi. No better place for a bite to eat and a drink, the Inn is well renowned but quiet enough. Fantastic friendly host and staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. Lovely walking to be done and much scenery to be viewed. Slane is about 5 miles away, with shops, post office etc. Highly recommended for a bit of a getaway.

Overall excellent

Great place to stay. Spacious rooms with ensuite bathroom. Access to kitchen, living room dinning room and garden, which was a very welcome bonus. Pub next door. 10 minute drive or less from Slane village and castle.

Not in walking distance of Slane or any close by village as far as I'm aware

Big room. Friendly and accommodating staff. Modern furnishings. Large comfortable bed. Nice sitting room / living area.

No clear instructions for check in. Need to go into pub next door to check in. Some stains on pillow cases. Only 1 shower towel provided. Which Wi-Fi to connect to was not clear (eircom one - lead to delay with connection). Bedside lamp not working. Mattresses / bedding in hallways. Bedclothes out drying in communal kitchen.
