Setting is awesome
Children said the beds were hard and there were a few cobwebs etc in their room. The shower also didn’t have a full trim on the bottom of the shower door so leaked. Every time we go we say we are going to bring comfy seating for outside to watch the view

Booking was so easy!
The lovely lady at the front desk was exceptional so kind, happy and genuinely welcoming. The caretaker was always busy every time I saw him, but he still made the effort to give a quick hello before carrying on with his work.
The whole area is beautifully kept, and I can definitely see why families keep coming here. You’re right on the beach and everything is close together, which makes it so easy.
If you’re trying not to overspend, I’d happily recommend getting a cabin without a bathroom. The shared facilities are beautifully clean, well maintained and easy to use. The showers are only 50c for 4 minutes, which I found was more than enough time.
This was my first stay, but it definitely won’t be my last. Wellsford is only around a 40-minute drive away too, and it’s a beautiful drive into town.
My only little negative was the night manager on site wasn’t quite as friendly as everyone else… maybe she needed a massage or a good sleep. 🫣😂
Overall, a beautiful spot, great facilities and lovely staff. I’ll definitely be back!
Maybe the night manager “push 5” on the phone could use a little help with customer service. Perhaps the lovely lady at the front desk could give her a quick refresher on basic manners and how to make guests feel welcome. 🫣 Other than that ONE incident, the place is absolutely amazing and I honestly can’t fault it!

Proximity to the beach and spacious.
We chose to splash out to stay for a birthday. We were there in early August-still winter and very cold. The gas ran out the second night of our stay, in the early evening. We rang the emergency number twice and got no response. We had a very cold unpleasant evening and had to retire earlier than expected. We had very cold showers the next day. By the time they replaced the gas the next morning we were getting ready to leave. The second night experience spoiled it for us, what was supposed to be a celebratory night. And it was not cheap.
