Hotel Rue

Hotel Rue is located in downtown Omagh with many restaurants and amenities within easy walking distance. One of the hotel breakfasts especially enjoyed was the poached egg, salmon and hollandaise sauce with brown bread which included a side of arugula and cherry tomatoes. Our fourth floor room was spacious, very clean and quiet. It was accessed easily by elevator. Hotel Rue is within a 15 minute drive of The Ulster American Folk Park which is well-worth the two hours (minimum) it takes to truly appreciate. (There is a lovely onsite cafe at the park to enjoy before or after your self-directed walking tour.)

Our multi-generational family members were completely satisfied with every aspect of our Hotel Rue stay.

1. Deluxe room was quite small and near entrance door which banged each time someone shut it so could not get to sleep till midnight 2. Food quality on evening very poor, grossly over priced but staff knocked off main meal cost as I did not eat it and were very apologetic and helpful Starter was ok and pudding good but main meal was a sag aloo that just didn’t taste fresh, flavourless and brown (doubt if there was fresh spinach in it and potatoes I suspect were several days old. The naan was tiny and basically not fully cooked dough 3. At breakfast asked if Americano which came with vegetarian breakfast made in same machine to espresso could be switched but told not without an extra charge despite fact it’s same amount of coffee with just less water !!! but they would not budge so left and had a lovely breakfast for far better price at a local cafe
