This flat was very comfortable with an outside balcony and a brilliant location

The owner met us and handed over the keys on arrival and was very welcoming and informative. He explained shortcuts to the high street, where the supermarkets were and gave us a free parking permit to use in the car park opposite. The location could not be better as it’s a short step to a multitude of restaurants, bars and the market. There was milk in the fridge, plenty of kitchen equipment, crockery etc, the basic condiments in the cupboard and washing up liquid provided. There was a lovely bunch of fresh roses on the table.

Very enjoyable stay with the convenience of having the main shopping street very close by

The location is excellent for access to the main shopping street & Market Square of Totnes. If arriving by car there is free parking on the car park directly opposite the prooerty which is very convenient. The outside terrace was an absolute delight & bonus, very private and peaceful & it was lovely to hear the church bells & clock chiming. The property is very quaint, like stepping back in time which is in keeping with Totnes as the town is very similar. The property was clean, the kitchen provided everything that we needed and the built in dvd player on the TV was very useful. The bathroom was modern with a lovely large walk in shower. Roger, the host, was very friendly and helpful.

Our only disappointment was that it was listed as a double bed and 2 singles and as it was not a king size bed, which we are used to, I thought we would have the room with the 2 singles but it was actually only one single in the second bedroom so we had to sleep in separate rooms for the week. If you can manage with a regular 4'6" double bed then this would not be a problem. We arrived on foot by train and it is a very steep climb from the train station and bottom end of the town up to the property which would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. There are a number of steps up to the property so again anyone with mobility issues would find it a little difficult.

We loved it. 10 out of 10 :-)

We loved absolutely everything. The flat was stunning. Everything was clean, organized. My children loved it there and their room. The kitchen had absolutely everything. It was quiet at night and it was only 1min walk to the high street where were restaurants, shops etc. The location was stunning. The flat also had a balcony where me and my husband enjoyed sitting at night and listening to seagulls. Also, there is a parking at the front of the property which is very convenient. It was also only 30min by car to get to Blackpool sands beach which is our favourite beach in the whole world. Thank you Roger for everything. It was pleasure to be able to book the flat and go there for few days. Thank you for having us. Can't wait to go back. Valeria :-) xxxx

Excellent, tucked away little gem

Lovely little apartment, comfortable, very close to central location and friendly host.

May not suit someone with mobility issues, although this was not applicable to us.

A pleasure

This really is a little gem. Although very close to the High Street it is exceptionally quiet. The view from the balcony over the garden is lovely. The apartment is fully equipped with all you need for self catering. Comfy bed. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely stay in Totnes

The apartment was very close to Totnes High street with long term car parking also next to the property. It was well equipped and clean with a lovely balcony/decking area to sit out on overlooking the beautiful garden of the owner who lived in the main part of the house.

I can’t fault the property really. The bedroom with 2 beds in is very small and a squeeze for 2 people - but that’s clear on the listing. Would have welcomed somewhere to put walking boots/trainers out of the rain outside ( there is an awning but the wind made me think twice about putting it up).

Exceptional

We loved our stay . The Little Elbow Room had everything we needed and more, a great host in Roger, easy parking making the stay so enjoyable. Totnes is an excellent venue , very eclectic with lovely people. We drove down but only needed to use the car twice in a week as the public transport is very good We will definitely return next year and renew our acquaintance with the town

Comfortable, convenient and clean. Very good location, adjacent to car park and main shopping street. Quiet and cosy. Lovely balcony with view over garden. Recently refitted bathroom with good walk in shower.

Plenty of room for 2, but would be tight for 4.

Wonderful relaxing stay in homely comfortable and pretty surroundings.

Fantastic location just behind the high street but so quiet - just the church chiming every quarter hour but did not disturb us at night. Lovely shower in the bathroom and fantastic view from the master bedroom. Heating very efficient and gas oven etc in kitchen easy to operate. Lots of choices on tv if the weather is bad. Lovely little balcony catChes the evening sun. Bottle of milk ready for our arrival for a nice cuppa and even a gorgeous vase of beautiful yellow roses that lasted all week. Also a water filter jug that I recommend using as the tap water tastes quite chlorinated. Lovely little garden to gaze down on from the balcony and there’s some ice cubes in the freezer so bring the G and T to follow the cuppa on arrival.

Make sure to ask Roger if anything is missing. The cleaner forgot to give us bath towels but turns out they are stored under the bed and we did not realise. Watch out for ant invasions via the balcony door - there is a spray under the sink. There was nothing we didn’t like but these are just points of information that might be useful. Roger gives you a permit to park in the car park opposite the house which was fine for us in late April though I don’t know how busy that car park gets in high season.

A lovely cosy place perfect for relaxing in. Comfortable beds, lovely bathroom and well equipped kitchen; the milk in the fridge, on arrival, was a lovely touch and much appreciated.
