Z Boutique Hotel

Really nice boutique hotel, perfect throughout.

Nothing, everything was great.

The breakfast was great and the location was excellent, the staff were very helpful.

The problem for us was the layout, our rooms were across from each other on each side of reception so wouldn’t be ideal if you have younger kids. I had actually asked if our rooms were next to each other and was told they were. There was also a little noise from breakfast set-up. The pool area is very very small and so if one family is using it there is no space and the breakfast area is also very small.

We booked Z Hotel last minute and we could not have been happier with our choice. The location in a small village made parking our rental car and taking day trips to beaches and to the mountains so easy and effortless. The property itself was also just lovely. An oasis of a garden with a small pool and an attention to design detail and historic preservation that was such a wonderful counterpoint to some of the characterless places we'd stayed before in Crete. Our room was also beautifully appointed - lovely linens, a comfortable bed, a wonderful shower and bathroom with good lighting and A/C. Even at the street level we had almost no noise as the streets are closed except to pedestrians on that side of the building. Finally, we LOVED our hosts (kind, attentive and eager to help out with recommendations) as well as the AMAZING variety and quality of the housemade breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.
