We had a wonderful stay. The house and terrace were lovely, and we especially appreciated the charming decorations. Since we spent most of our time outdoors, the outdoor space was exactly what we were looking for. We were also pleasantly surprised by the variety of condiments and oils available for guests to use, which is always a thoughtful touch when booking this type of accommodation. Thank you as well for the homemade cookie. It was delicious!
There are a few areas that could be improved. Although we had communicated our arrival time in advance, the house was not properly ventilated when we arrived and had a noticeable damp smell. It took about two days to fully air it out. We also found that there was only a bit of soap available that we could use to wash our hands. In addition, some of the dishes and glasses needed to be washed again before use, as they were dusty and felt slightly sticky. While I understand of preserving the character of a traditional grandparents' house, some of the linens and towels were quite worn, and a few of the bed sheets had small tears.

The view from the terrace is the perfect medicine for your body and mind. Just sit in the chair and enjoy the views, and often a really nice sunset! The barbeque is also a nice bonus.The neighborhood is also really safe and quiet.
We didn't really have any complaints.

Das Ferienhaus lädt ein zum Entspannen und Genießen. Hoch über den Dächern von Calheta bietet es einen traumhaften Blick auf Madeiras Küste. Das Haus war sehr sauber, komplett eingerichtet und herzlich für unsere Familie vorbereitet. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war stets zuverlässig, zuvorkommend und schnell. Da die Häuser an sich eher kühl sind, schaltete die Vermieterin vor Anreise sogar die Heizung für uns an - sehr zuvorkommend. Wir können das Haus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen für einen Urlaub auf Madeira.

Really nice house with a very friendly host.
Our flight was delayed by one day - no problem to change the dates - thank you!
It was December and it was raining a lot and quite chilly.
There is only a fired oven in the house. The host brought us a heater which helped a lot for one room.
Nevertheless the whole house was really cold (well below 18 degrees).
go there in summer and you are fine - I would not go there again in winter!!
