This place is located just beside the Talek river and 2 minutes driving from the Talek gate. The owner is very nice the same as the staffs. We have total 5 nights here and we are satisfied with all the arrangements. All in all, it is over the expectation and worth the cost you paid.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Talek Bush Camp. We loved the serenity of the location which is just a few minutes from the Talek Gate of Maasai Mara National Reserve. We also booked Nairobi pickup and safari day tours arranged by the camp. They offered the best rates in this high season. The staff, food, cleanliness of the property were above and beyond our expectations. Special shout-outs to Nicholas, Abdul & Mustafa for their warm hospitality and ever willingness to make our stay even better!

The location at the river with many animals is special. Both management and staff are very friendly and understand their job. Our boys got a free update to stay in a cottage near us. Everybody of our family did enjoy staying.
That we had to leave.

Can’t find words for this place. Amazing retreat with wooden huts and luxury tents that just seem to fit in with all the green that is around. When arriving you’ll be greeted by bands of baboons and vervet monkeys that play around in the trees and meerkats.
Make sure to stay at bush camp, not riverside lodge (same place but bush camp is more green).
The staff is amazingly friendly and I mean in a way that just seems so authentic, not a put on smile like in other places.
Food is fantastic and among the best meals we had during our travel in Kenya!
We took 2 full day game drives with great driver and guide who would do there best to meet my needs as a photographer (go but forth and back for angles) and never being to pushy for the animals we found. Which is not always the case, some drivers of other places were just too careless with their environment.
Everything perfect!

Food was delicious, staff friendly and the owner useful and warm-hearted. The tent where we stay was clean and guards were around all time taking care of monkeys. Finally, the location is unique, just at the entrance of Talekh Gate,
The owner can improve the bathrooms in tents.

The place was beautiful. The staff very nice. The food was delicious, I asked the chef his soup's recipe and gave it to me.
The empathy and kindness of the manager. I will keep that man in my heart. He conforted me while the protest started in Nairobi. We were not sure how strong they were and I did not feel safe to go to the Capital.
The day before my leaving, I talked about my concern going to Nairobi with my niece and he said "No worry you can stay here, no worry about the money." That man is great !

I like everything and I would recommend Talek Bush Camp. From the welcoming staff, just when i arrived at the Gate, Jacklyn was there smiling on me. what a welcome and ease the pain of traveling 6 hours from Nairobi. The cottage was clean, and the view is just Wow! Just in front of my cottage is a River, a wonderful view while the Hippos are there swimming. What a view!
The food was great! Especially the dinner, where They serve rice and beef was soo tender. My bad i did not get the name of the Chef. Titus was always there and Valentine and ohhh Nick as well.
Mustafa, is also very accommodating. I wish i had more holidays so I could have stayed more time.

I loved everything except there wasn’t much of a variety in their menu/food.

Loved this camp! The owner Mostafa is very warm and welcoming and is an extremely talented photographer. Check out his Instagram in the photo. The area is like staying in a jungle with a family of baboons on the river that you can watch in the evening with a cold beer. At night you hear the sounds of the animals all around you and you are only minutes away from Talek gate to start your early morning game drive. All staff are amazing! From lovely Masai guards who are making sure you safe and are more than happy to talk about their culture, to super helpful and kind restaurant and cleaners. Highly recommended!

very good location near Talek gate.
possible to see wildlife from the bush camp
spacious bungalow
swimming pool to relax between game drives
people were friendly and food was good
be aware that you have to go through the Masai Mara gate to reach Talek bush camp. you need to pay park fee to get to the bush camp even though the camp is outside the park. it is possible to get a transit card to leave through the park again till 24h after the entrance fee time is expired. not a big problem, but would have been nice to know in advance.
the toilet was not flushing well.

Great location to Maasai Mara. Loved waking up to the sounds of the hippos and baboons. The staff was very nice and helpful. They arranged a safari that was unbelievable, we saw so many animals, including a Rhino! Would highly recommend staying here.

Excellent value for money, staff very helpful, Titus in particular, for Bush camp experience can’t be beaten, we stayed in riverside bungalows, good basic accommodation, even has a pool, which I used 😀
Food was basis but hot, be prepared to eat by candlelight when bugs are about 😉
Our Safari guide was Daniel, he was amazing, we’re found Cheetah, Leopard, big cats with cubs and lots more, great sense of humour and very knowledgable, ask for him and you won’t be disappointed
Overall a fantastic real Bush Camp experience

Good initial communication. Since I traveled independently, I got a matatu to Narok and then a private taxi to the camp. Since I overpaid on booking, the camp provided a private taxi back to Narok. I arranged my own tours but it turned out more expensive. It's probably better to have the camp arrange the tour or book one of their packages for the Masai Mara. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Electricity is turned off overnight but I'm thankfully the ceiling fans stayed on.
I picked the camp since I wanted to be next to the Talek RIver. But it's a long and bumpy ride to Sekenani gate when you arrive at and leave the Masai Mara. The rooms are very warm and the ceiiing fans don't hep much during the day. I recommend bringing a small travel fan.

Excellent relaxing Bush camp located just outside the Masaii Mara reserve. Great food, very friendly staff. View over the river with crocodiles & hippos bathing. Very reasonably priced for full board arranging packed lunches for safari days.
What's not to like? The water in the room took a while to run hot.

People are great, food is simple but nice, location was great considering we were there for a safari. They arranged the best game drives, George made sure we caught all the big 5.
And our guide and driver for the rest of the journey in Kenya, Collins was the best guide we have had in our life. Ask for Collins
Right outside our room we spotted hippos and crocodiles. (There was a moat).
I would highly recommend asking them to pick you up from Nairobi. They have better pricing than most others
We had some power cuts. But I wouldn't hold it against them considering they are in the middle of a forest area
