View of the mountain from our room. Dinner was excellent together with evening view over the grasslands. Walking to the private black sand beach. Excellent place to stay for visiting Skogafoss and hiking up what they call 'waterfall way' behind it.

Fancy dinner at a very nice restaurant
Staff didn't wake us up for the aurora, even though we had signed up for getting woken up. Nevertheless, we managed to catch the aurora by checking through our window in our room facing the mountainside, and then going outside.

Wonderful hotel and restaurant in a beautiful secluded location. You can walk to the beach (15-20 minutes) and have it all to yourself with beautiful mountain scenery. Restaurant is outstanding (one our best meals of the trip). Sauna and yoga room are a nice way to relax at the end of the day. Close to many outdoor excursions.
Rooms are a little small by American standards, but it’s hard to find anything to complain about

For some reason there is Laundry/housekeeping work station in the middle of the hallway of rooms. Staff are loud when one is in their room. Room Doors don't close properly. Driveway/entrance area full of potholes and muddy. Food overpriced and rooms appear to be furnished by IKEA. Only one coffee capsule per person in the room instead of two. Very cheap.....
