Very nice breakfast with excellent Moshi coffee!
The cook was excellent and very friendly.
Sept 3, 2026 a simple carrot soup order for a night time meal took 45 minutes to prepare.
Sept 4, 2026 the following night as soon as I returned to the Better Inn in the evening I ordered from the 2 young women at the reception/restaraurant desk tomato soup and asked them to let me know when it was ready ( my room was across from the restaurant area).
When 40 minutes later no one had informed me of anything I went to inquire about the soup. The 2 young women did not understand what I was asking? Another guest at the Inn intervened (she spoke Swahili and also didn't understand why my order wasn't ready).
I had to reach out to the manager Isack to intervene. I think a manager has better things to do with his time. Even after he intervened it took another 20 minutes to get a 300ml bowl of soup 2/3 full therefore about 200ml for US$5.00.
I am not sure why the restaurant at the Inn charges is in USD dollars. All other restaurants I went to in Moshi (even roof tops and fancy cafes and restaurants change in Tanzanian shillings).
Moral of the story great breakfast. After the 2 nights experiences at the Inn restaurant - I ate out at lovely restaurants, cafes and rooftops in downtown Moshi.

The best value for money you will find in moshi. The staff are all very helpful and friendly, you can book excursions with them. The bed was comfortable, food was good. Hot water and a good shower. Beautiful area for relaxing. We will come again

Really nice place just outside of Moshi centre. The food was good and the room was nice and cosy, and clean.
Staff were really helpful throughout and helped us book an early morning tuk tuk for our departure.
They need to change their coffee supplier, because whatever that was at breakfast, it was not coffee!! 😆

This is not a bad or negative review. Unfortunately I only stayed 2h cause my flight was delayed. Then started the kilimanjaro climb, therefore i couldn't leave a full review.
