Beautiful historic building. Everything we needed was provided. Privacy was excellent. No contact check in and check out.
We were upgraded to a more private and more beautiful building. But the upgrade included a bathroom in a separate room that we had to go outside to access. It was sheltered and close, so we didn’t get rained on, but it was freezing and really woke me up in the night when I had to use the bathroom. They did provide dressing gowns and slip on toeless slippers, but I would’ve brought my ugg boots if I had been told about this in advance. It also made it harder to get ready for the wedding I was attending as the luggage was in the accommodation and the only mirror with proper light was in the toilet/ bathroom.
I probably would’ve been happy with the upgrade if the weather was better.

The area was extremely tranquil, as was the room itself. It is an ideal venue for people who want to get away from the busyness of the outside world. The breakfast was simple but enough for our needs and all the necessary items were at our disposal. Karen was very friendly and informative but then left us to enjoy our quiet time, which IMHO made her the ideal host. The bedroom was dark, which I like. It was a lovely place to breathe and chill out. We recommend it and hope to return.
The shower trickles just a little slowly, but that is all part of the local environment and didn't cause any great concern. Nothing else comes to mind. There is MUCH more to like than dislike, for sure.

great out of the way location in a rural setting. Loved the effort to keep it authentic and using old furniture and decor .

quiet, tranquil location. Karen was lovely and helpful.
no kitchenette sink for washing up. Had to take dirty dishes into the bathroom to wash up.
