Cute chalet with beautiful porch view

Lovely windows let sun into the room and balcony was nice and clean. Hosts were helpful with the laundry. Location was walkable to the Lake and Interlaken West.

Although we had lovely stay, the room did not look like the one shown online - it was smaller and did not directly view the lake. In the future, the hosts should confirm if there is a difference in the view from the room and room set up from their pictures when guests book. The Wi-Fi was spotty and did not always work. There were no curtains on the window which made sleeping a little challenging. It was quite hot during our stay and there were no screens on the window so leaving the window open on hot nights led to bugs in the room. The bathroom was small and the shower head continuously turned. The water pressure was not great. The bikes offered did not fit us but there was no easy way to communicate this to the hosts. The hosts never once checked in on us during the stay. Overall, we still had a nice time enjoying the patio but there is room for improvement.

I feel like home here. You can find anything here. Room is spacious for 3 people — look like an apartment inside. Kitchen has everything even cooking oil or a rice cooker. Bathroom even has the hand-held bidet! So detailed! And the owner is very service minded, helping us to carry 2 big luggage (20+ kg) up to our room. So, you don’t have to worry even there is no lift, you won’t have the problem. Location is something to mention. The view from the room is the river and mountain — super beautiful!!! Plus, it’s close to Interlaken West station. So, everything is so convenient.

Fantastic location, central to everything with gorgeous view to mountains. Slept so well in very comfortable bed, lovely apartment-quiet and cosy warm. Marco and Malika couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. Really appreciated the use of a free bike for my stay, just wonderful to explore the many beautiful cycle pathways by canal, river and lakes and also using it for ease of reach to/from 2nd train station, Interlaken Ost (gateway to the mountains). The area has an abundance of stunningly beautiful sights and experiences. Would love to return here again. Thanks so much Marco and Malika for providing such super accommodation.

Warm hosts, beautiful apartment.

The property is hosted by very warm and helpful hosts Marco and Mallika who made sure to ensure all info we shared and we were comfortable. The small kitchen was well stocked with coffee, tea and little edibles for cooking. Fascinating view of the Jongfraujoch from the apartment.

Not that it’s a stretch but just a bit of a walk to the city centre.

We had a fantastic stay at chalet Maria. The early communication from the property owner before arrival was excellent. Although we arrived late at night but we had a worm welcome by both Mr. Marco and Ms Mallika, explaining everything about the property. Their hospitality has given us a home country feeling. We were amazed next morning about the view of the lake from the balcony. Also the property is less than 5 minutes walk to the centre. It is really a great place to stay at interlaken and highly recommend.

The location is great one, 5mins to train station and to all restaurants as well. The host is super friendly, welcomed us by carrying our luggage to second floor, explained everything about the room to us. The room has a coffee machine and a small kitchen but with full kitchen utensils and cutlery and as well as seasonings. The homestay has a great scenery where infront of it has a beautiful lake The homestay also provides washing machine and dryer as well. Definately will be going back to Marco's place again

Relaxing and quaint. The Chalet was perfect!! Marco + Maria work so hard to make it a holiday.

Location was perfect for taking the train to the mountains and we loved having coffee on the porch overlooking the River. The room was super clean! Loved all the extra amenities like coffee, creamer, outlet converter, umbrella.

both owners were friendly and helpful. the room was spacious with lots of kitchenware. you can tell they have put great effort in preparing the room etc. although we didn’t cook. laundry room was convenient too.

We like everything! From Marco and his father's reception, the room's infrastructure to when we opened the house porch: OMG!! What a view! PERFECT! Views of the Thun Lake and the alps. A dream!

Perfect but just taking care of other noisy visitors wasn't enough

Very kind, active and bright hosts, beautiful surroundings and scene/view of half snowy Alps

This is not Hotel's fault though, but a group of visitors from other country staying same floor, made lots of noise in two nights (my family was staying straight 3 nights there FOR RESTING) that was enough to wake-up me and wife at both midnight. At first day I called to the lobby and luckily they responded they would take care of it, but same issue happened next day too. I understand this is also hard for the host to ask visitors to be calm politely, but it should've been more active than just knocking and calling to them. But this doesn't mean I will not visit there again, I was just unlucky due to other unlearned and rude visitors.

great stay!

we stayed in the first floor apartment at chalet Maria. it was beyond exceptional and clean. the hosts are so accommodating and nice. they have a washer and dryer and everything you need to do laundry provided. they also have free bikes to use - this in itself puts this property above others. for bike rentals in interlaken it is over $50 a day. we sure to use the bikes!!!

the bed slept really hot. I think it was the mattress topper - we do like to keep things colder than normal so others probs won’t have an issue. the hosts already ordered stronger wifi so that will be a plus for anyone staying in the future.

A fantastic traditional suisse home with a to die for View of the alps, brilliant!

The property was an amazing Suisse old homestead with Fantastic caretakers with Marco and his wife and families. We loved the location, the atmosphere and its location with a view of the cool balcony of the over one hundred year villa. A very short walk into Interlaken West with all amenties at hand, the walk was one of the most enjoyable parts of the visit taking in the scenery every day and fantastic location, clean air and sweet alpine clear water! We will be back for sure and cannot say enough about Marco's passion for his abode and the way we were looked after so professionally with Suisse customer service excellence!

Perfect quiet apartments in a Chalet

Lovely place close to Interlochen West train station and grocery stores. Marco and Malika thought of every detail in the rooms. They made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms are beautifully decorated and convenient. Couldn't ask for more for our stay in Interlochen.

This one of the best properties in Interlaken. I will defiantly come back again once I’ll visit this place. Comfortable, clean and close to the center. Mr Marco met us personally and he was very welcoming.
