The pool and the staff, the place was really nice. The place is located in a non-touristic neighborhood and the restaurants nearby are good and good pricing.

The owner, when he came out, spoke English and was nice. When I asked if I could cancel, he agreed with Booking to refund me 2 nights if I stayed the first one. The pool is nice. The A/C worked fine.
I had thought this was in downtown Santa Marta. It was in Gaira, which is a suberb, inland from Rodadero Beach though which was half an hour away from downtown Santa Marta. There is nothing around here but two small restaurants. When I came in, there was nobody at reception Then a man who made no effort to understand me, even though I was speaking Spanish. He mimed and used sign language when that wasn't necessary They wrap a chain and lock around the door which you have to undo and open to come and go. The towels and floors were dirty. The shower was a hose sticking out of the wall with one knob only, for cool.
