Amazing

Its a heritage building belonging to some ancient family. The location is exceptional as its next to Ganga ji and has a small private ghat . I spent more time on the ghat than my room. :) . They have a small courtyard that is also amazing. I will stay here again in my next visit. Staff is very helpful and polite. Its a wonderful and secure place for female solo travelers.

Loved the stay, would highly recommend the property

The host are just amazing. Super helpful and accommodative. The food served is delicious. The property is exactly as the picture describes.

The entrance to the property is unclean and smelly as the roads are narrow and unclean. As it is a very old property (2nd property in entire Haridwar), some of the electrical appliances are not working. The car park is about 1 km from the property which you need to walk or take a cycle rickshaw which is a hassle.

Lovely

It was in a lovely location. Right in the heart but felt tucked away. I lovely the private ghat. We loved our room and enjoyed our time there.

Some hooligans tried to claim our room. We arrived and didn’t deserve the stress of “do I have my room.” These village (personality) people were claiming first come first serve (a mother and her big mouth daughter). You know, those people that don’t prebook and come with everyone but perhaps claimed one room. Then, they lied and said they booked ages ago. I wish my brother and I were reassured at the onset - instead we were sat there (it’s not an easy place to reach initially when u don’t know where to go) feeling nervous if we need to look for a new place. The hooligans even asked to see my proof of evidence - I was like I don’t need to prove anything to you. Once it was confirmed it was great - but no one that has booked should go through that.

Stay was comfortable and we enjoyed but could not get wifi inside the room.

ROOM ON THE BANKS OF THE RIVER

Roads leading to the hotel are bad and no vehicle is allowed near the hotel. Further, there are no arrangements to pick up, drop and carrying the Luggage to the hotel (Around 2-3 kms)

Perfect location, very clean and well maintained

it is a wonderful old house, renewed and very well maintained. Very clean. Close to the main Ghats. They have their own little ghat. The guest house is under a wonderful giant Banyan tree.

Some noise from a water pump (I guess) from time to time. But it was not a problem.

Historic stay on the Ganges in Haridwar

Beautiful old building with lovely rooms - with main feature being the fact that it's built right on the a Ganges and near to Har Ki Pauri, where all the action is at!

If you want to explore Haridwar, Local food and wish to give comfort to old parents, than go ahead.

I have selected the property after seen the comments posted by previous guest stayed before. My current comments validating for all genuine comments posted in the website. I have selected this property because old family members with us in tour. Private Ganga ghat was the reason for selecting the property and my parents enjoyed to take bath in Ma Ganga. Care taker had treat us just like relatives, you will not fill its hotel rather its Home. And you know home means, food, cleaning, safety shall be at par by default.

If you will plan to check in and out before 9AM morning than you will not face any issue to reach hotel from parking place or station. Because approach shall be quit ok and accessible for electric auto . After 9AM you have to go with Cycle Riksha and in evening after 5PM you have to go by walk because Har Ki Pouri Aarti scheduled after ward. Room tariff was quit high side compared to others property near by location. Market is full with crowd of people so cleaning is an issue. Comments based on trip carried out between 22nd -25th March 23 ( Comfortable Weather).

Quaint and lovely property with a beautiful private access to Ganga

A beautiful guest house in the ghats. Slightly away from the hustle and bustle of har ki pauri. But still at a walking distance. The service and food is exceptional. The rooms are so well maintained - and gives a quaint vibe. The highlight is the view of the ganga at arms length almost from all the room windows. There is a private ghat entrance where we can even laze around or do a ganga snaan. A must visit and value for money guest house

The approach road is a bit cramped and the cab will have to park a distance away. We would need to take a cycle or battery rickshaw to approach the place - The nearby lanes are a bit dirty and cramped in typical haridwar fashion. But the guest house becomes an oasis.

Silence, peace and the sound of ma ganga river...from my room window! enchanting!

Location. Very good location. Close to Har ki pauri. view of ma ganga from window of room is so amazing. terrace view, superb.

the area enclosed within the place to take bath in ma ganga river. too small. very slippery. needs to be improvised a lot.

I loved the location and specially the private ghat they have. When you enter the guesthouse, there is an open area where you can sit and its lovely. Contructed in an old style, i really liked the overall house. Also, this place is near to ghat where arti happens.

No car parking option as the guesthouse is located in a very busy lane. You will have to park your vehicle in public paid parking, which is about 500 meters from this place. We used that same place to park our car and it was not very far.

Excellent comfortable stay

Hotel right at the banks of Holy Ganges. Breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked. Lady looking after the property was very good and attentive, I was travelling with my older parents and she helped get a rickshaw.

You have to park your car about 1-2km away and take a rickshaw.

very friendly and helpful staff. food was great especially paneer! the location is fantastic and it’s wonderful to have roof top restaurant with river Ganges view

there is nothing to dislike about the property however it was freezing so they could keep heaters in rooms. also should provide hand towels.

The room was neat and clean. The washroom was very good. The good thing is you can take bath in river Ganga in your own guest house.The caretaker of guest House is well behaved.

The approach road to guest House is not good at all. You have to carry your luggage on your own for 500 meters.
