The location was absolutely perfect. I was staying for the Ultra X England ultramarathon and it was so close to the basecamp and after running for 27 hours solid, falling into the worlds comfiest bed, with wonderful bedding was a treat. The kitchen was beautifully organised and the twinkly lights in the bedroom was just adorable and very much made my stay! It was such a cosy, perfectly situated place. Remote and peaceful but a short walk to the local pubs and footpaths. I would not hesitate to stay there again. If I could have "the Old Stable" every time I stay anywhere - I would be a very happy person. Also to the hosts - THANK YOU SO MUCH for the tea, coffee and milk in the fridge - that was the best touch ever! Thank you!

A small cottage but comfortable and cosy. Fabulous location. We loved the walk through flower meadows and sheep fields to the Rambler pub in Edale and up on to the Pennine way at Upper Booth. Breakfast in the sunshine outside in the yard was a delight.

The location was perfect for walking. It was a quiet place. There was a parking space outdoors. We had a couple of different rooms to be in. It was warm and full of character. Space in the Old Stable was used well.
We like to cook food in an oven and the oven provided was not great, although we appreciate limited space limits options for kitchen facilities. We would have liked better lighting in the main downstairs room, it was quite dark.
