The cottage was excellent. Very large spacious and clean. It was perfect for our family of 5. the owner was lovely and the welcome basket was such a nice touch. would definitely recommend and stay again.

couldn’t fault anything

Very well equipped house and incredibly well attended to in terms of Christmas decorations, lovely welcome gifts left for us, friendly owners live next by but quite separately. Wonderful area for walking in hills of Lancashire and North Yorkshire dales and exploring cities such as Liverpool and Manchester.

Nothing - although I would have been worried about driving up and down the drive way had it been at all icy or snowy as it is very steep.

This is a delightful family cottage in a gorgeous rural setting. The lounge is large but cosy, with a coal-effect gas fire and ample Chesterfield-style seating. The kitchen-dining area is adequately equipped and can seat a typical family or a small dinner-party. The washing machine and dishwasher were very welcome. Several local pubs and restaurants are easily accessed by a short drive, or a moderate walk.

There is little not to like. The small single bathroom/toilet could be a problem for a larger family and two of the bedrooms are small with sloping roofs (don’t walk into the beams). The lack of local shops is only a minor inconvenience, offset by the peace of the rural setting.
