⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Truly One-of-a-Kind Experience!
Santa Juana was absolutely OUTSTANDING from beginning to end! This was so much more than just a beautiful place to stay — it truly felt like a home away from home in the middle of paradise.
Ariel was such a sweetheart and showed us so much kindness throughout our entire stay. He was always there to help with anything we needed and made us feel so welcome and cared for.
Harold’s cooking was AMAZING! Every day he prepared something different, and every meal was delicious. We loved being able to experience authentic, home-cooked food and looked forward to seeing what he would make next.
Alan was incredible on our tours. His knowledge of the plants, birds, animals, and the surrounding area made the experience so much more special. You can tell he truly loves and respects the land. We especially loved the idea of planting a tree — such a meaningful way to leave a little piece of ourselves behind while giving back to this beautiful place. 🌱
The property itself was beautiful, extremely clean, and had everything we needed. The views and scenery were absolutely breathtaking — pictures simply don’t do it justice. The waterfall was GORGEOUS and so much fun, definitely one of our favorite parts of the experience!
What stood out the most, though, was the hospitality. Everyone worked so hard to make us comfortable and make us feel like we were at home rather than just guests. That kind of genuine kindness and hospitality is hard to find.
Santa Juana is truly a hidden gem and a one-of-a-kind experience that we will never forget. We already know we WILL be back, and next time we’ll be bringing more of our family and friends so they can experience everything we fell in love with too!

The contact with nature, being able to completely disconnect and recharge and how cared for we felt with the attention to detail, smiles and the heart that Allan, Liz Leidy and Ariel put into everything they do for their guests. They are special people who definitely embody what “pura vida” truly means. ¡Muchas gracias por todo!

You will never find a place quite like Santa Juana Lodge. It is worth the time and effort to get there. It is pristine, magnificent views, the staff is absolutely amazing and they really make you feel like family. The food is wonderful. Be sure to book their original adventure tour with Alan to their private waterfall on the property.
The room had a full kitchen so bring whatever you want before you head up the mountain.
There isn’t anything I didn’t like, but if you are driving your own car, get a car with power to get up the mountain and call ahead if you are driving at night so the team can help if needed. It will be dark and the road is rugged, but it is very safe.
