Everything! This place is simply stunning. Hiro has done an amazing job on the restoration of the old farm house and you can appreciate the thought that has gone into many of the details. Joshua was very welcoming and served us homemade plum wine after our hike. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the recipe books. Dinner was delicious and Rey hosted us over dinner and explained the sake tasting we appreciated. We had a few more sake's while chatting with the very lovely Rey. Thank you so much for your hospitality and calm energy Rey, Joshua, Hiro and Sayo. The cat was entertaining too! We also enjoyed the extra walk up the hill although we did have a pick up originally booked.

We stayed here for one night on our hike of the Nakasendo Trail. Without a doubt the best accommodation of our holiday. Our room was comfortable and our hosts very kind.
It's clear that Rey and Hiro have put so much love and thought into every aspect of the farmhouse renovation. It makes for a beautiful place to stay. When you add the delicious dinner and sake tasting our stay was perfect, much better than staying in Nagiso town.
Hiro picked us up from Nagiso Station on our tired legs after we had walked from Magome. This meant we could set off for our next days walk to Nojiri from right on our route, and got to skip some climbing!
