Comfortable and clean stay

Easy to communicate and the couples host always ready to help, very relax and chill environment, experience the traditional korean style hostel

A little bit pricey but understand its difficult for host to maintain all facilities well by their own

El allotjament es bonic i cèntric. Els propietaris son un amor, disposats a ajudar en el que necessitis. L'últim matí la propietaria ens va oferir un petit espectacle músical, em va ensenyar a tocar el janggo i ens va cantar opera. Un veu encantadora 🥰

Per dir una cosa, l'únic que m'ha sobtat es que l'esmorzar fos occidental, quan es un allotjament tradicional coreà. L'esmorzar es bó, però m'esperava un esmorzar tradicional.

La chambre de style traditionnel avec futon L'emplacement parfait tout près des tombes et des transports pour aller visiter les autres sites La parfaite amabilité du couple qui tient cet établissement

Un petit siège ou un petit canapé dans la chambre serait le bienvenu pour éviter d'avoir à se "vautrer" sur le lit dans la journée Le jardin est sympa mais manque un peu d'entretien

Personale gentilissimo e posizione eccellente! La struttura non è nuovissima ma i due padroni di casa fanno sentire tutto caldo e accogliente! Esperienza ottima!

L’unica nota negativa era il bagno freddo dato che non era presente il riscaldamento

Fabulous location, wonderful host(ess) in this case and great casual breakfast with home made kimchi and gochuchang.

The location is excellent for the central tomb complex and you won’t get a more enchanting and interesting host for breakfast. Where else will be invited to play a Korean drum and be serenaded by a performance of O’sole mio? The breakfast was lovely too.

If you are coming by car the satnav is not very helpful. We stopped at a wheat noodle restaurant with a free parking lot where the guy in the restaurant helped us find the hotel which was probably only 100 away.

Relaxation and peace mids of busy touristic area

The location of the property is close to the lively area of Gyeongju, all restaurants, shops and the historical landmarks of course. The garden is beautiful and we enjoyed the quietness of it at the end of the day. The breakfast met our expectation. It was sufficient and tasty. The hosts are extremely helpful and kind. If you are searching for a quiet and relaxing place in Gyengju, look no further.

The best location of all the Gyeongju hanoks I've tried, the hosts are very accommodating and even gave us a lift to the bus terminal

There was a slight smell in the bathroom, but this could be unavoidable since it is a traditional hanok that probably wasnt intended for modern plumbing...

Superb

had an amazing time at namuae! the guesthouse is ideally located in the center of gyochon hanok village near most of gyeongju’s historic sites and is very picturesque and quaint! rooms are well furnished and comfortable. the owners (an older couple) are some of the nicest, most accommodating individuals we’ve met on our trip. would definitely recommend staying at theirs if you’d like a wonderful break from the bigger cities!

Good

The location is the real selling point for this guesthouse. It's right in the centre of things, but very peaceful. It's a very pretty setting with a lovely garden. The breakfast is nice, but it would be helpful if they put more food out so guests don't have to wait or keep asking for more bread/milk etc. Only some of the rooms are in the traditional Hanok part of the house. If that's what you're looking for, it might be best to check in advance.

Overall, we had a lovely stay. There were just a few small things we didn't like. We stayed for 3 nights, and the bin in our bathroom wasn't emptied - you can't put toilet paper in the toilet, so I think it needs to be emptied daily. The walls in the Hanok are very thin, so you can hear your neighbours talking/snoring. The air is a little bit stuffy in the rooms.

Lovely guesthouse in the heart of Gyeongju

What a lovely guesthouse in the centre of Gyeongju! A stonethrow away from the tombes and in the restaurant and shopping area. Yet very quiet, could not hear a thing in the rooms. Good breakfast with fresh fruits! And very nice owner who seems to be an incredible dancer looking at the pictures

Almost nothing, this was the best in south korea thus far. I did not like the polyester bed sheets much but this did not bother the rest of the family

Charming Stay

Very convenient central location close to tombs, other sites and restaurants. Traditional inn type accommodation. We had a comfortable double bed, my daughter was in a more traditional room with a futon. Good ensuite facilities with nice shower in both and small kitchen area (shared for us, private for my daughter). Air conditioning. Hosts were charming and very helpful. Simple but adequate breakfast.

Slightly old fashioned bedding, would have preferred a sheet to lie on rather than a thin quilt. But maybe that's part of the charm of Namuae.

Perfect!

The house is really beautiful. Its location is perfect: in the middle of a cute neighborhood full of shops, cafes and restaurants and in front of the major touristic attraction of gyeongju: the historic park where you find the sillas king tombs and the observatory tower. The room we had was clean and had a lot of space. The owners were really kind and helpful. The homemade breakfast healthy and really good. (The owner make her own delightful yogurt!) Thank you again for the wonderful stay

A lovely stay

Everything about Namuae was so lovely! The location was very central and we were able to park nearby and walk to the property with no difficulty. The room was larger than expected and the attached kitchenette was greatly appreciated. The breakfast was simple yet perfect. Our hosts were very helpful and even sent us lunch recommendations in Gyeongju at our request prior to check in.

Nothing could have been better. Everything was great!

Thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

The location is superb, right in the midst of everything. And the host are very nice, the owner lady even made her own yoghurt for our breakfast. Would highly recommend anyone to stay in this Hanok home.

Perfect stay

Location was exeptional. The host provided with keys to the property and I was absolutely independent.

Pillow too hard. I would prefer to have breakfast with korean dishes not simple western stile.

Lovely hanok stay in great location

This hanok was just what my sister and I wanted for our stay in Gyeongju. The location was great, the hosts were very kind and personable, the room was comfortable, and the bathroom was nice and modernized. There was a lovely kitty on the premises that kept us company on the small landing into our room which was perfect. We would stay again, for sure.

Our wifi access somehow disconnected in the late night and we were without, but this may have been a one-off instance. The host was apologetic when brought to his attention in the AM.

Nice, in a cool strategic position, clean, owners are absolutely lovely and the breakfast is fabulous. Make sure you try their delicious homemade yoghurt!

I suggest they may want to upkeep the garden a little but it’s just a suggestion, everything was lovely

Superb

Very well located near lots of restaurants and shopping. Most major attractions are within walking distance (less than an hour walk away). The futon beds were comfortable and the room was relatively spacious considering the location. The hosts were kind and friendly.

Superb

Namuae is a family-run BnB in a traditional Korean house with a garden. I felt instantly comfortable upon entering the premises. We arrived at about 12 and as the room was ready, were allowed an early check in. (And upon checkout, we could leave our luggage there.) Room was simply furnished but had everything we needed; it looked like what the pictures showed. Pleasant and helpful hosts - Uncle helped us to carry our luggage to our room and patiently explained what was available in the room and how to get them to work. Aunty served a delicious breakfast - buffet style with quite a good spread- breads, ham, home-made yogurt, cereal, fruits, and some Korean style dishes. They both made effort to speak to us in English. Good location- near sights and a main street with cute shops and many eateries. We used Naver map to walk there from the Intercity Bus Station and had no problem locating the guesthouse.

Mattress on floor might be a bit thin, but not unusual for such accommodation arrangements in Korea and we had expected this. (But if this is something that might bother you, the rooms with beds might be a better choice for you.)

The breakfast was absolutely amazing ! It was served in the house of the landlords which looks like a tea museum and with classic music on. With this handmade breakfast we couldn't imagine anything best to start the day :). The two landlords are also really nice and interesting. They speak English which is rare in Korea.
