About this condo rental
Situated in Galveston Island, this lovely condo for $281 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. No Golf Cart needed, that close to the amenities! The Beach Villa sleeps 5 to 6 and is a modern and comfortable condo located next to the Beach Club and main dune walkover at the Pointe West Resort. There is a beautiful view of the beach and the Gulf of Mexico from the balcony. The Villa’s location, in the heart of the Pointe West Resort, allows for the closest access to the Beach Club and beach. The beach is stunning, expansive, regularly groomed, and closed to vehicle traffic - making it the perfect spot to enjoy the surf or build sand castles with your family. The Beach Club is elevated and has an infinity edge pool which overlooks the beach and Gulf of Mexico. In addition to the pool, the club has a restaurant, bar above (sunset to view), heated Jacuzzi (& Sunset pool), children’s wading pool, fitness center, game room, and picnic area with gas grills. The gift shop is open & seasonal. In addition to stairs and elevators, wheel chair accessible ramps are provided for guests. There is a heated sunset pool which is located bay side. A full basketball court on the grounds. There are more than 3 miles of beach and 6 miles of biking trails at the Resort. A fire pit, which is perfect for building a camp fire and toasting marshmallows, is located near the condo. Bring your fishing gear as you can cast & catch right from the shoreline. The Sunset pool is heated on the bay side of the resort, it includes a lazy river surrounded by swaying palm trees. The pool and Jacuzzi provide a relaxing atmosphere with views of the sunset on the bay. There is also a lanai with a grill. Bring binoculars there also to watch beautiful birds and wildlife. The owners personally manage the Beach Villa and are highly committed to the quality of each guest’s experience. The condo is maintained in top condition. Please feel free to contact us if you have questions or would like to inquire about availability! Important Notes for guests. 1) The Resort Beach Club is separately owned and operated. They charge a $25 per person per stay fee for guests age 4 and up which is collected at the Beach Club Office (masks optional). The Club contacts guests by email prior to arrival to collect payment. 2) The Condo Buildings and the Beach Club have stairs plus one elevator per building. Elevator access can not be guaranteed because the elevators are not in service 100% of the time. If you are unable to use the stairs, we strongly recommend that you stay somewhere else. 3) Guests should strongly consider purchasing damage protection from VRBO. Similar to staying in a hotel or renting a car, guests are responsible for damages that they cause. In cases where damage protection is not purchased, VRBO incorrectly states that a guest's liability is limited to the damage deposit amount. That is not correct. R#437591

Nice condo includes all necessary amenities and is located on the beach. Walking distance access to beach club for a fee. The second bedroom needs light-blocking window treatments.

Just returned from a five day stay at Pointe West Resort. Alan and Joan Wilde are excellent to work with in renting their villa. They are very informative and attentive to their guests' needs. Their condo is in an ideal location in regards to the beach club and pool as well as the beach. We were there with our son and his wife and our two grandchildren, ages 4 and 1 1/2. The children's pool was great for the baby and the lazy river pool at the Sunset Beach Club was perfect for all of us! We were surprised on Friday and Saturday evenings when there were movies shown on the buildings across from ours. We could sit out on the balcony and watch movies! We certainly enjoyed our stay in the Wilde's Villa at Pointe West and would stay again.

Our family stayed in this unit for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The condo is very clean and the kitchen is very well stocked with everything you'd need to cook meals. Beds are comfortable and it's nice to have 2 tvs. Our toddler was enjoying her cartoons in bed after a long day at the beach while us adults were cooking and watching our own shows outside in the living room. The condo has more blankets/pillows than we would use. One thing I'd recommend is to bring trash bags! There were no trash bags in the condo, but luckily we came prepared and brought our own.
The Point West beach is nice , wide and clean. Although there were a lot of seaweeds, the water was clear. However, the last day we were there it rained and the beach was very smelly and water was very muddy. But I guess this is nature. Just know that when it rain the beach wont be as nice.
The beach club was also a nice touch. The grilling/seating area is very nice and clean. We had 2 meals there and we all enjoyed the view of the gulf. We also like the lazy river pools. It was perfect for our toddlers.
Joan and Allen were a joy to work with . They are extremely responsive and accommodating! They made sure we are informed of what we need to enjoy our trip and we did! Thank you for letting us stayed at your condo. We definitely will be back.

The condo was perfect and so was the stay! Beautiful view of the gulf from the balcony. We enjoyed the easy access to the beach and the pool. I would highly recommend this condo and Pointe West!

We stayed in this condo for one week with our children. The condo was comfortable and clean. There was plenty of space and had the ideal location in the complex - easy to get to the pool and to the beach, but still quiet. Our kids had a great time - loved swimming, playing pool in the "teen room", flying kites, riding their bikes, and making smores in the charcoal bbq. We highly recommend this condo!!

After a friend suggested Pointe West, the offerings and quietness appealed to me for a mother-daughter trip. We enjoyed the games and puzzles, the fully stocked kitchen to cook/bake, and the comfortable beds, sitting, lounging spaces. We enjoyed the available beach items in the storage unit as well. Overall, a very nice stay!

The condo and resort property were absolutely beautiful! The location was far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Galveston, but still close enough for us to be able to enjoy all the restaurants and attractions. The unit was very well maintained and there was plenty of space for my daughter and I. The Beach Club was great and the pool was very refreshing and clean. The elevator was a little iffy but we were advised before checking in. We will definitely be back!

The condo was fantastic! Clean, comfortable and very roomy for the family. We were impressed at how spacious it was. Wonderful view from the living areas, balcony and primary suite. Great parking, the stairs to the condo were nice, most people wouldn't need the elevator.
It is a bit far from stores, we should have planned our food shopping better.
We needed a bit more clarity on purchasing the villa wristbands. If you want to swim in the pool, then get them.
We asked Joan if she could move our stay up one day and she worked all that out for us beautifully.

The location of this villa is absolutely incredible since it’s so close to the beach and right next to the Beach Club! The homeowners were easy to contact when needed. They also provide extras like a wagon, 2 bodyboards & sand toys to take to the beach. In addition, before our stay, they sent us information about beach rentals, nearby restaurants & important phone numbers to contact if needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our first family beach vacation & can’t wait to return next summer!

Very comfortable condo next to the Beach Club pool easy walking distance to the beach and everything you need for the beach. We'd brought a canopy but then saw the much better ones you can rent, so we did that and it was so nice to take the wagon with our lunch and boogie boards and the canopy and lounge chairs were all set up for us. Very relaxing! Nice ocean view from the balcony which stays shaded all day!

The location of this condo is perfect within Pointe West. Literally next to the beach club pool and the beach walkway. It is a hike to the beach so at least being so close helps. The owners also provide a wagon which is a lifesaver. The condo is exactly how it is described with a great view of the courtyard area/ firepit and ocean. It will be amazing once the beach club re-opens the restaurant and bar. They are both under construction, which puts a damper on the main pool, since no alcohol can be brought into the pool area. The owners are very helpful and definitely take pride in and care for their condo. They were immediately responsive to any issues, which is not always the case for rentals.

While again the property was fine I would NOT say it went above expectations. Beach chairs are just fold out chairs that you take to your kids games. Restaurant/bar was not open as advertised. Per management it never opens until Memorial Day weekend which was not communicated.

We had a nice relaxing weekend stay. The condo was kept in a clean and orderly manner. The bedrooms were spacious with ample closet space for items with brought with us. The provided wagon was useful in carrying chairs, coolers and towels to the beach as the walk was definitely a heart healthy trek. The pool and hot tub was really nice. The beach was exceptionally clean and worth the walk to it. Very nice stay. It's on my future list.

Great secluded condo with an impressive exterior. Located at the very end of the island. This is the perfect place if you want a private beach, nice pool, and if you like to cook. My only complaint is that the beach club employees were rude, and the pool bathrooms were not open.

I wish our code to the pool had worked the whole time we were there it stopped working on the 12th and we were not around when the office was so it was kind of a waste of $10 per person since we didn't use it at all due to weather and code not working. Other than that it was a super nice stay. I would book again for sure. Short walk to the beach and plenty of local food places to eat. Great food at all of them.
