Convenient stay for a week in Lofoten
Location with a view to the see and the mountains nearby. Very quiet place some 80 metres from the sea. A local shop with a petrol pump 200m away. Fantastic restaurant (in the wintertime opened Wednesday-Sunday) just few km to the other direction. Picking up the key was really straightforward with a code provided by the owner. The house is spacious with two toilets but only one equipped with a shower. For five of us it was perfectly convenient although with more people it might be a bit more difficult. Well equipped kitchen (incl. dishwasher) with a table certainly perfect for a group of five. In the summer, you could eat outside as there is even a bigger table on a nice terrace but as we came in February, it was totally covered in snow. The house is warm (electric heating). The island itself is pretty quiet, I guess mainly local people live nearby. Pretty convenient place for starting exploring the archipelago of Lofoten esp. if you have a car.
The family bed upstairs was a bit too soft for me. Not really a problem but I noticed quite some flies on most of windowsills (strangely, not flying in any other parts of the house), probably woke up when the the house got heated up (we tried to reduce their numbers but myteriously every day some new ones were showing up). The heating was quite efficient (you can control temperature I think in every room). However, the electric heaters made some continuous cracking noise, which you wouldn't notice during the day but in the night you could hear it more. Sure, if you do not need to heat the rooms, this problem does not exist but in any case it is rather a minor issue.

Perfect base for an active family on vacation.
- Perfect location with lots of hiking possibilities! - We also managed to take a plunge in the beach across the street! - We enjoyed watching a couple of whales from the window while having dinner one night! - midnight sun!

Amazing house for the price on an amazing location
Nice environment, possiblity to swim in the sea close by, easily accessible/not too far from the main roads, comfortable sofa's
When staying with a large group, the water in the shower turns cold pretty fast. But this was only a minor inconvenience.

A memorable stay in a cosy home beachside backed with snow capped mountains.
We loved the location with the beach in front and the snow capped mountains as backdrop. The heated ceiling in the lounge was amazing and it was lovely to recline on the lounge chairs in the warmth when it was freezing outside. We spent a couple of awesome nights on this property and have come away with beautiful memories.
We didn't get to see the Northern Lights yet that was no slight on the property.
