Great value room in centre of Shrewsbury. They upgraded us free of charge to an ensuite room. Best thing was location and value for money. Cooked breakfast included and that was also pretty good, considering the price. Spacious room and bathroom.
A little bit rough around the edges decor-wise but still good as you get what you psy for, though it was a lot better than I'd expected.

As we were there mid week, it was lovely and quiet. The location is good , central but set back from busy streets ..
Just minor observations:
The shower was turned off , and there were no instructions as to how to turn it on.
We could/should have been offered help with our bags , as our room was furthest away along and up lots of stairs , ( but we are older than we look. :-) )
The emergency lighting is over the bed , with a bright glowing green led light . It should be nearer a door or window , but I understand the challenges of an old building .

Staff helpful. Room fine for price but awkward access via stairs.
No parking at hotel and an uphill walk of 10/15minutes from outdoor carpark. Not really a suitable walk with bags for older customers.
