The beds were comfy and the room clean.
Easy to do the check in and check out.
The neighborhood was calm and easy to go around.
The kitchen and shared space is also a gym park. Didn't understand if I could use it freely or not.
Didn't like the city but that's not the hostel problem...

1. It was near to a subway and bus stops, and many eateries around the area. The place is also near to many tourist spots in Gwangju.
2. The room is comfortable, including the bed and bathroom. Everything was 99% clean. The sink was separated from the bathroom/toilet which was okay for me.
3. Bottled water, toiletries, table, hair dryer, and bathroom slippers were available. One bottled water a day was provided. The wifi connection is also very fast.
4. The staff/owner was an ahjussi who was polite enough to call me about my check in time, but I think he only spoke Korean--so take note of this.
5. There is an elevator, and the reception and lobby areas were very nice, except the staff was usually not present there, but I saw and talked to him when I was checking out in the morning.
I would appreciate it if there was a water dispenser in the floors and room slippers were available in the room, and also if the terrace had a functioning lock. They are also not much active in the booking.com app chat so I think you have to call the Korean number of the ahjussi if you need him.

Perfect location for Kwangju downtown, nice view on a temple.
Moskitos during the night in the room.
If you have a light sleep: monk in the temple below starts praying with a bell around 3.30am
