All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room I had on the second floor was comfortable and the much needed air-conditioning worked well! Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, and soap and shampoo were provided. There was an adequate breakfast provided. Next door was a handy shop with cold drinks, etc. Hostal Macambo was very conveniently located, near restaurants, the river, and the main square. It’s on a pedestrian street so there’s no traffic noise.
There was no hot water.

Great location just off the plaza, AC, the staff was super helpful when we left some things behind. The breakfast is included and when we left late one morning, they offered us a mandarin to go, which was so sweet.
No hot water in the showers, which isn’t terrible considering how hot Iquitos is, but a warm shower would have been nice at night.

No tenía agua caliente en ninguna habitación. Habitación ruidosa, era vista a la calle pero por más que las ventanas estuvieron cerradas, se escuchaba la conversación de otras habitaciones así como la puerta de ingreso y la cantina que hay a lado donde venden licor.
