Overall, my stay was great. My booking was only for one night, so I unfortunately didn’t get the opportunity to fully experience everything Hillsview Guesthouse has to offer.
The location was the aspect I appreciated the most. It was clean, quiet, and felt safe, which made my stay comfortable and relaxing. I would definitely consider staying here again if I’m in the area.
I stayed in Apartment BLUE, and unfortunately, the apartment had far too many maintenance issues for the price I paid.
There was no electric kettle, which meant I had to use the gas stove. As someone unfamiliar with gas stoves, I found this uncomfortable and unsafe, and I was constantly worried about whether I had properly switched the gas off.
The sliding door was extremely difficult to operate. The handle was also broken, which made opening and closing the door even more difficult and frustrating. On top of that, every time I opened the door, it produced a loud screeching noise. This was extremely annoying and could easily have been avoided with proper maintenance.
The bathroom was particularly disappointing. The door could not close properly because the lock was broken, so I had to use the toilet bins to keep it closed. The toilet also had to be flushed more than twice almost every time. On top of this, the shower head was broken and did not work properly.
I don't mind paying a higher price for accommodation, but the facilities need to justify the cost. In its current condition, Apartment BLUE simply did not meet my expectations and, in my opinion, requires significant maintenance.
The location is the main reason I would consider staying here again. It is clean, quiet, and convenient. However, I strongly recommend that the owners properly inspect and maintain the apartments before accommodating guests. Several of the issues I experienced should have been identified and repaired beforehand.
