Wonderful break

Loved it. Just a perfect spot, clean and masses of platters and kitchen equipment, just could have done with gas with all the loadshedding. But otherwise amazing

The house is quiet and peaceful with incredible views of the river and mountains.

The house is well furnished and comfortable and is in a lovely location.

The house is advertised as having WIFI which we could not connect to for half the time we were there. We reported it straight away but it took 5 days until it was finally resolved. It is also advertised as having a bluetooth speaker which was not present. When questioned we were told it was taken away and not replaced as its too expensive. Parts of the house are a little on the tired side and the kitchen needs to be better equipped.

Location was great. Right near the river and beach. Lovely welcome by Renate. Lovely wooden house. Nice feel to it.

A has stove or gas burner would have been great as a back up for power outages.

Amazing birthday weekend getaway

Beautiful location, very friendly and helpful housekeeper (thank you Renate) and also Melinda for the initial booking. Very clean and comfortable house and facilities. The fire fireplace in the main living area worked amazingly especially as it was cold. The rooms could do with heaters or extra blankets during winter as the temperatures dropped significantly at night, but the linens provided were of high quality. Renate went out of her way to make sure that there was new and decent crockery which we appreciated. The location is amazing with the house being literally on the river/sea mouth. I would only suggest that the outside lights be replaced or fixed but other than that, I would recommend this house as a getaway to anyone considering.

Outside lights (especially by the braai area) were not working. Rechargeable lights (incase of loadshedding) was available though which we used and worked okay.

Stunning locations and beautiful surroundings.

This property is one of our favourites and it's all about the location. It has direct river access and is a mere 3 minute walk to the stunning soft white sand beach. The kayak was a huge hit with our teenage children. It's so peaceful to wake to bird sounds and amazing views of the surrounding mountains.

We were given the incorrect host telephone number which made check-in stressful as we were running late due to flight delays and couldn't inform our hosts of our new arrival details. The house is not insulated so can be cold in the winter when the wind blows through the window gaps but we just buy lots of firewood for the efficient wood burning stove which heats the living area. There is a baboon crisis in Pringle Bay which puts a damper on this idilic holiday town. You cannot leave doors open or have an outside BBQ without being on high alert for baboons.

Perfect spot to chill out while enjoying the beach, lovely walks and paddling on the river.

Amazing location. The house is right on the river and a short walk to the beach. The place is beautifully decorated and mostly well equipped. We would definitely stay here again.

There were only two wine glasses. There is only one pillow per person, so if you prefer two pillows, bring your own. The deposit takes two weeks to be refunded but we did get it back.

Superb

Unfortunately our check in was delayed by quite some time because of a computer glitch, but Riaz and Renate made sure we were accommodated for and offered an extra night free of charge. They were very attentive and immediately fixed a few minor glitches

it got quite cold during our stay - so a few warmer throws for the lounge would be welcome:) other than that the property is fab

The house is really a gem, lots to enjoy and very scenic. well worth a visit!!!

The house is beautiful and the location is amazing. We enjoyed the river, it was sublime.

The Dstv wasn’t working. when I brought it to their attention, nothing was done and no feedback was given. most of the crockery had chips, not really useable.

Please check that all light bulbs are working. Replace chipped and mismatched crockery.

Great location but needs an upgrade for the price you paying.

The location of the house was great.

There are a lot of wear and tear. Kitchen utensils needs update. Wine glasses terrible "Wimpy milkshake glasses to drink your wine out" Lounge couches definitely needs to be replaced as you sinking in when you sit. Outside balcony very dirty. No comfortable seating outside. Struggled to get the DSTV activated after numerous whatsup to owner. For the price of this property per night you get 5* accommodation on the West Coast.

Good family weekend close to the beach

The closeness to the beach, and overlooking the river. The bed linen was great.

Poor lighting and the place is a little tired. The utensils could be improved. The wind chill seemed to come through the windows and there was no heating, besides the fireplace but the wood was wet.

Wonderful location, right on the river and less than 5 minutes' walk to the beach. Spectacular scenery, a fireplace that worked brilliantly in the July winter and accommodating hosts. Would've booked for December if it wasn't already booked.

More than one shower would've been nice but a small price to pay.

It was a glorious weekend away with breathtaking views of the river and mountains.

Audrey was very freindly and welcomed us into the house. The views are amazing! To wake up from the main bedroom with a view of a perfect sunrise is quite a treat! The fireplace added much needed warmth as we were there during winter:)

There were no electric blankets... but we survived.

AMAZING views, but some disappointments with the overall comfort of the house.

The location and the view are truly spectacular, a short walk or swim to the beach, and unspoilt views of the mountains... the main bedroom has stunning views from the bed and the bath, really lovely. The comms with the lady that arranges check in were delightful, and she was both helpful and timely, and very flexible for our late check out (so was the owner!).

Unfortunately the house lacks some basic comfort items. The queen beds only have 2 pillows each, there are NO blankets anywhere, and you do miss them in the lounge at night! (bring your own!) There are no ice trays, no oven gloves, and overall limited kitchen stuff (no real salad bowl, only a few decent wine glasses, etc). It was also disappointing that the outdoor cushions on the photos do not exist anymore - we were very much looking forward to lounging on the deck but there is nothing to seat or lounge on at present. The owner wasn't always very quick to respond to emails and took >2 weeks to refund our deposit, but was really flexible with our check out time which we deeply appreciate!! (there is a R2,500 or so deposit that needs to be done, which is unusual for booking/airbnb houses).

Superb

Wonderfully located holiday house with unobstructed views of the estuary and mountains and just a few minutes walk from the beach. Rooms were well set out and spacious enough for 3 adult couples to stay comfortably. Has everything you would expect of a modern beach house. Kayak was a real bonus!
