Nowhere to hang towels or wet towels Toilet seat was wobbly No soap to wash hands when we arrived No tea towels or napkins No clean sponge Few things that would have made that little bit more a difference for people

Fun, Dynamic city, great apartment and location.

Spacious, comfortable apartment, on walking only street, easy access to restaurants , shops , the University a short walk. Many English TV channels.

The pedestrian street can be loud at night , we happened to be there on College break when large groups roam often singing, mostly being young. On balance it was an enhancement, a fun way to remember Coimbra. it woken several times. oh ,to be young again!

excellent location, Need to focus on simple details that would improve the experience.

location and windows

bathroom sink clogged so we brushed our teeth in the kitchen sink. a bar of soap would be helpful to get started…no room for toiletries except a bench that was too close to the toilet. bathroom had an oder that we overcame with a scented candle that we purchased…too many large appliances for such a small kitchenette. no bottle opener….. bedroom area was very comfortable. there is room for a full size mirror, but there was none. initial tour of apartment was inadequate…and then only received a WhatsApp communication after that. unfortunately during our stay, there was no light in the downstairs hallway and we had to use the light from our phones to walk through the hallways..most of times with our hands full…

The sewage smell in the bathroom was a major inconvenience. Overall the apartment was very clean.

The location was very good with everything necessary close by e.g. Groceries, pharmacy, food. Room was spacious and the view was good. Very Helpful and friendly host.

The bathroom smelt like sewage constantly. It would make it very uncomfortable as at it gave the impression it was not clean. Closing the sink hole did not remedy the smell. Would highly suggest implementing an S trap pipe. The light in the foyer did not work during our entire 4 days.

The place is a bit undermanaged. Water did only go down very slowly in the bathroom sink, some of the fixtures started coming off (e.g., for towels in the bathroom) - even though everything looks very new.

Wake up refreshed in a pristine suite, step outside and have to choose from a dozen outdoor cafes on your street.

beautiful newly designed interior in an heritage building. The location is on must visit street in heart of the old town. we stepped out our door and walked up to in Fado concert in back of the building.

I very much enjoyed my two night stay in this ideally located and well set up, smart property.

I had the second floor apartment which is actually a bed sit rather than a one bed apartment but for me on my own this was not a problem. The living space is light, airy and it is smart and well appointed. The location is fantastic for exploring Coimbra. I arrived in and left Coimbra by train and as the weather was lovely I happily trundled my wheeled suitcase along the cobbled streets to the apartment both when arriving at and leaving the apartment and I didn't find this too hard (my suitcase has good wheels!). It took about 10 minutes or so at a gentle pace. Jorge quickly came to meet me after I texted to say I had arrived and he was very friendly and helpful.

The location is right in the middle of Coimbra, this means that it is quite noisy when you have the windows open - I liked this but if you have a problem with noise be aware of it. The soundproofing works OK when the windows are closed but if you like to go to sleep earlyish then I would still recommend earplugs because the street musicians are loud and so audible even with the windows closed. The kitchenette facilities are limited to a kettle, a coffee machine and a microwave and there were no clearly microwave proof dishes. Apart from this there is a sink and a fridge so not really set up for cooking anything.

Very good

Very nice property in general. Excellent location. A lot of good restaurants, shops and tourist attractions around. Room was very big and well furnished. But plates and cups were not very clean. They have coffeemaker but only decaf coffee and herbal tea. Breakfast places opening around 10-11 o'clock. So if you're early person make sure you buy something night before.

We had to wait for about 20 min at the door for person who gave us a key even we called in advance. Not even appologized for wait.

great location but needs improvement for the price

very good location, right in the heart of the main old town/ tourist district very large 3rd floor apartment, lots of windows with lots of natural light and views down into the town elevator was very useful for luggage

for such a large apartment, and the more-than-average price you pay, cooking facilities could have been provided in this property; there is just a microwave, fridge, kettle and coffee machine; not even a toaster the bathroom was less than average, needs an overhaul; black mould in the shower, shower tiles coming off the wall, towel rail having fallen off the wall, and no storage; the small dusty/mouldy shelf was not appealing to put my toiletries on.. there was just a thin coverlet on the bed, but a much thicker quilt was required as it is winter and cold at night; I pulled out the spare quilt for the sofa bed, but unsure when that was last laundered..

Excellent location

Location, Apartment set up and quantity level

You have to park 0.2-0.3 miles away and put coins in Twice a day. You have to walk your bags to the apartment. You may be able to find parking for a 24 hour period, but it is not easy. The apartment is awesome, so it is the price you pay for the location. Look closely at the location image to find it. The picture shows the front door on the far left

Great location

Excellent location.

Upon our arrival the room had a musty and moldy smell emitting from the bathroom. The room seemed not to have been in use for sometime. Although the kitchen was well equipped, very little dish soap as well as drying towels were very sparse. No body soap was provided. Towel rack and shower shelf were both loose or not there.

Great location

location is smack center of town. with many restaurants around. easy access to cafes, restaurants and Fado. 15 min walk to the university. the apartment is super clean, with coffee pods for the morning. which we appreciated. we had apartment #2. host is wonderful and accommodating.

Sooo, there is the sewer smell which permeates through the corridors and the toilet smells. I don’t think you can really do anything about it except change the entire plumbing. it is more of a building structural issue. thank god the weather is nice and you can leave the doors open so that the apartment doesn’t smell. other than that, host is wonderful. also beware that bars and street music is downstairs so be prepared to bring ear plugs to sleep through the night.

perfect location, super comfy

The apartment has perfect location for exploring the city centre, surrounded by many restaurants, bars and cafeterias for the outside breakfast. Big plus is the elevator. There's almost always someone playing/singing live on the main street so you can enjoy it while sipping your tea. Or you can just close the window to get some quiet moment to rest.

A clean comfortable stay in the centre of the historic town not to be missed.

The apartment is clean, comfortable and bright. Located in the centre of the historic old town. The staff meeting us is extremely friendly and helpful. I will definitely rebook it for my second visit to Coimbra and recommend to my friends.

If there's a manual on the microwave oven, it will be great as we are not familiar with microwave cooking. Appreciate if there's drying tray to hold water of cleaned plates / cups.

Exceptional

It’s perfect for a short trip to Coimbra. Modern, but in an older building that is not too far from the train station. The bed was very comfortable and there was central heat. Cooking is limited to microwave, so a longer stay might be difficult. Our host was perfectly welcoming, and we got discounts to local eateries and a place to stash our luggage the next day until it was time for our train. We’ll definitely be back!
