The George

The staff were very friendly. Our room was large, comfortable with a lovely view. The included breakfast was fantastic.

The bar area needs updating.

1. Free cooked breakfast with fresh fruit and yogurt every morning! There was a daily menu with a selection of different cooked options, with options for vegetarians and vegans. (e.g. veggie sausages/veggie bacon with cooked breakfast) 2. Comfortable room and bed - the bath was so nice! 3. Friendly staff - everyone was so welcoming and lovely, we had a fun jokey conversation with one of the guys serving at breakfast and I could hear him being friendly with the other guests as well 4. Great location - easy to park around the back and to travel to Charmouth and Lyme Regis !

As it is above a pub, you will hear noise and general chatter from the pub. The pub closes around 10-11 and conversation tends to die off around 11pm. This was fine for us, as we were out most of the day but something to be aware of!

Location comfort free parking and great food at a reasonable price

Needs a bit of TLC

The George is very well situated for access to all of West Bay,it has it's own car park. The room was spacious and clean with a big ensuite bathroom.Comfortable bed and hot shower. Tea and coffee provided. There was minimal noise and we slept well. Marvelous breakfast with healthy choices or full English. We ate in the restaurant which was a reasonable price and good quality,great portion of fresh veg. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

Be aware that sometimes there is a funfair or activities in the adjoining field. Closure at 10pm meant no noise at night.
