Nice, cozy atmosphere, friendly bar and restaurant staff. Good location for the Kent activities. Dinner in the pub restaurant was excellent and the staff were great. Breakfast was fine, with enough options to choose from. Room was lovely, clean and well appointed.
Our only gripe was the security light above the door. It was so bright, it was hard to get off to sleep.

Good base for travelling around Kent
It’s a little bit tired . I understand the age of the building , but bathroom door didn’t shut , emergency light stayed on all night . This was mentioned to the manager when we checked out and he did apologise and said he thought it had been fixed . He was grateful we pointed it out to him .

The staff were really friendly. The rooms were great, clean tidy and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.

The breakfast was good but we should be given the price option of no breakfast.
We really disliked the steep stairs to the bathroom from our bedroom. It was really inconvenient and no warning was given in the written description of the room. Unforgivable.
If you are considering staying here make sure you are aware.
