Good for one night near Ofelia Bus Station

Near Ofelia Bus Station, friendly staff, wifi available, rooftop terrace

Booking.com reservation and price unknown to the receptionist until late night, different rooms to those booked, but we agreed with the availability so no problems…

close to la Ofelia terminal, but nothing special

Great jumping off point for catching the Bus to Mindo in the morning (3‘ walk to la Ofelia terminal, north of Quito). Breakfast is served from 8:00 which was too late for us.

- not the safest/nicest neighbourhood without restaurants or supermarkets - small rooms, shower lukewarm - a bit cold and noisy because windows couldn‘t be closed fully

Awful

Disgusted. Not as described in ad. No view and no minibar/fridge. No where to eat. Area very unsafe. Shower not working, towels filthy, shower rail held up by tissue which collapse when shower curtain pulled aside, bedside lights not working due to unsafe electric wiring and tv not working. Area is next to bus depot where buses park for the night and head out again from 5am. Basically worst stay ever. Can provide photos if required.

good for a quick stay close to the bus station

close to the bus station, which was convenient for our early morning bus ride to Mindo. rooms are also very spacious.

no hot water in the shower. lots of noise coming from the street, making it difficult to sleep.

Water kettle in the room

I stayed at La Estacion Hostal for one night before a bus trip to Mindo. The biggest plus is the location very close to the Ofelia bus terminal (2 minute walk). The Hostal organized an airport pick-up, which worked very well. The room was large and clean. Also, there is a kettle in the room, which is a huge plus. Staff were friendly, though not always easy to locate. I would stay again for a night before catching a bus from Ofelia.

I tried to find someone working there because I couldn’t figure out how to get hot water from the shower, and I couldn’t find anyone and wasn’t sure where to look. I wasn’t a fan of the breakfast, though I appreciate that one was offered, as there are not many food options close by. The front gate is locked with a padlock, and you need to find someone to unlock it if you want to leave, though going out after dark is not recommended at least for solo female travellers.

Good cheap stopover for 1 night close to the bus terminal

It's location to the bus stop was good. The room was large and has an electric kettle in it The staff was friendly, with our limited knowledge of each other's languages, we did well.

There are blinds missing in the window of our 1st floor room, meaning you have no privacy.

Exceptional value!

They provided an excellent breakfast. The room was great and the facilities safe and secure. Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Very close to both the church we wanted to attend as well as the local bus terminal (2 blocks and 1 block away respectively). Highly recommend this place.

Perfect place to stay before taking the bus to Mindo

Perfect place to stay before taking the bus to Mindo. It is located only 2 mins walk from the bus station. The hotel is simple but worked very well for us. We stayed here on our first night in Ecuador and then headed straight to Mindo for a few nights. The staff were very lovely and incredibly helpful!

Perfect hotel to stay at if you want to visit Mindo (close to the bus station)

We got a very spacious room with 3 (!) double beds, the room was clean, the staff was very friendly, we even got coffee and tea for free and we could leave our bags here during our 2 day trip to Mindo without an extra cost. This hotel is very close to La Ofelia bus station so it's the perfect hotel to stay at if you want to visit Mindo.

perfect for what we needed a late night room close to the bus station. the attendant was very nice and accommodating.

Great for a one night jumping point for trip to Ecuador after arrival.

The close proximity to the Ofelia bus terminal made it an ideal place to stay for one night before continuing to our next destination. The manager helped in advance with a ride from the airport to the hostel, they had a sufficient breakfast and were very nice and welcoming.

The shower was a bit challenging to use.

Disappointing

Good price point!

The staff only spoke Spanish. Booking the airport shuttle from the hostal did not work very well. I had to contact the hostal at three different occasions for the taxi to actually get booked. When the taxi arrived at the hostal for the pickup, it was almost 20 min late. The location is very off, except for the proximity to the bus station, which makes it impossible to buy food without a car.

if you are heading to Mindo from Quito it is a convenient place to stay and worth the cost.

it was close to the bus station that has the bus to Mindo. The staff person was helpful and kind. The bed was comfortable.

Breakfast did not arrive, however the staff person refunded some money so I could buy a breakfast. I could not find a place to do this but was able to use the microwave in the dining area to make instant oatmeal and coffee I had with me.

Superb

When we booked, there was an issue with our reservation and for some reason it never got communicated to the staff in the hotel. However, when we got there the staff was extremely nice and was able to accomodate us. The place is very practical as it is located right next to the bus station to go to Mindo (far from the touristic part of Quito though). Breakfast was also good!

I really liked the hotel, the beds very comfortable and the staff is friendly The bus stop is next to the hotel which helped us a lot. I loved my stay here.
